Now accepting application for mens basketball coach. Any takers?

Maybe Rick Parsons will take over as Boys coach. He is really fun to watch Coach....I recall him using some great key phrases when he coached at Evarts...I was sitting behind his bench one night and he was playing a 2 -3 zone defense, when he wanted to trap the basketball out of it he would starting stomping his feet and yell " Momma's in the House, Momma's in the House ".....he was always entertaining to watch roam the sidelines.

I agree it is not as sweet a job. They do have good athletes but numbers in the school make it difficult without getting out of district/tuition kids.

Word on the street is that the parents have too much influence in running the program. This may have been the reason Chalk resigned. Rumours have it that is exactly why Norman was fired mid season.

 

I think Mefford is leaving simply for a better long term opportunity.

If parents would support coaches and their programs instead complaining about their child's playing time and blaming coaches for every loss, high school athletics would be better off. I guess it is simply a reflection of the individualistic selfish society we live in.

It's not the team the had years ago , but she be a coachable team... the only lost Matt Anderson and alonzo Tillman, they still have Zed smith, josh smith, Ej fields,and acouple more good players...

True Hip Hop but aren't the kids you mentioned gonna be seniors??? What about long term talent in the lower grades????

they key would be getting jordan morgan out. Best basketball player in the school.

If they hire Parsons as the boys coach, that would be a BIG mistake. He hasn't proven himslef anywhere he has been (at least in the last 10 years).

Isn't he the same guy that was at Menifee Co. a couple of years ago? If so, he has LOTS of "baggage" tagged along with him........ :creepy:
