Yep, i noticed that too. I guess like me they decided that traveling plus the late kick off was just too much. Kind of a sad night and i wasnt sure i could handle all the surroundings. The Belfry community lost a great fan, good friend and most importantly a good man this morning.

Anyways a win is a win. I believe this matchup was a long time coming from what ive heard from most floyd countians, and i guess it might be the last time we here them grumble after this score. Prestonsburg probably could have beat them 100-0 if they wanted.

Much improved and more experience will make the Bobcats extremely tough but to place them as the frontrunner out of the east is a little bit of a stretch. I see Russell and Belfry along with maybe Somerset as being the frontrunners at this point. Now come playoff time next year this might change but at this stage they are merely a serious contender and not the favorite.

What a poor showing tonight by the Pirates. Its a shame to end a season on such a poorly played game. Great season though, they went farther than anyone could have thought. This team is a year or two away from making a legitimate run at the championship. Let me say a early congrats to Russell and go get em next week. Show Mercer that the east can compete this year. Im outta here, probably wont see me again until next football season. I tend to stay away unless its football season.

Sounds like the bigger Russell D-line is having their way with the smaller Pirates. This was probably my worst nightmare come true. Losing the battle of the lines and falling behind are two of the worst things that could have happened to the Pirates. I believe some sort of a lead was vital to Belfry more so than Russell. We need the confidence to know we can move the ball. Right now that is lacking and Im not sure if we can find it before its too late. Belfry may have to go the pass a lot more in the 2nd half if things are to turn around. I really had a bad feeling about this game and unfortunately things are beginning to come true. Need some adjustments at the half and probably a lot more intensity or the Basketball season will start tomorrow morning.

The unstoppable machine just keeps on rolling. The only thing that could keep Mercer from winning the AA title would be the bus driver losing the directions to PJS next friday.
