  1. I don't think they choked, I just think they were out coached, and out played with Rutger's hustle and heart.
  2. Fans running on the field is the only reason UL got a last play off.
  3. I'm quite entertained by the different perspectives that some of the UL faithful are able to come up with to justify, or at the very least, soften the tragic move that was made. There's nearly as much spin on this subject than there is during a presidential election.
  4. I din't realize that he didn't play football until this season, my bad.
  5. I disagree that it happens like this. Maybe with an injury, or legal issues, but NOT just based upon review of tape. The true Big Boys do their tape work BEFORE they offer.
  6. Did UCF offer you, you verbal, and UCF yank the offer? Or were you simply recruited, with no set offer?
  7. This is one of the funniest posts I've read on BGP. Listen folks, it's pretty simple. UL found a player that they thought was better than Durham, and they backed out. Some people's word is worth something, and some it's not worth anything. We know by now where Petrino fits. Cut and Dried.
  8. What in the heck are you talking about? Unfortunately, the team that I follow has been eliminated early from the playoffs in the last several seasons. This leaves me looking for games to go to during the playoffs. I have made the short trip up I-75 to Rock to watch many a playoff game, and have never seen a "questionable" field. Tom Larkey has a great reputation, and I think you either need to be more definitive of your accusation, or apologize. Are you confusing Rock with Bell?
  9. True, but in business, if you want to stay in business, you have to be known as honorable, and true to your word, and if you're not, you won't be successful in business very long. IMO, this was a very poor business decision, and will negatively affect in-state recruiting for UL in the near future. Like it or not, Petrino is establishing a reputation for not being a person of his word.
  10. This happened right in front of my son and I. We could not believe that is wasn't challenged. We saw with no replay. Marvin should have clued in when Atlanta hurried to get the next play off. I did see Vick make one of the most impressive plays that I've ever seen. He rollled left, was flushed out to the right, made eye contact and waved to one reciever like he was going to run, and threw a no-look 25 yard dart to another reciever down field. He was amazing today.
  11. I told Jim Schue Friday night this could happen.
  12. NL's seniors go out with a win on Senior Night. Expect big games out of Asher, Maggard, and the rest of the Senior Jaguars in the final game of their high school career. NL 27 WC 14
  13. I'm not MT, but I've not heard this one, and can't really think of who you might be speaking of.
  14. What about INT's that are caused by a receiver not catching the ball, and it coming off their hands? That's part of the game as well. Luck goes both ways, and should even out over time.
  15. What's more off, CP's day yesterday, or 20/37, 324, 1 TD, 1 INT?
  16. You obviously watched a different game (at least second half) than I did. He might have been "off" a little bit, but no where close to "way off". 23/39, 240 2TD, O INT is anthing but "way off"
  17. One of Palmer's over throws on a deep ball was one to CJ, who actually stopped on the route. His stopping made the ball appear to be well overthrown, when it was not necessarily the case.
  18. The roughing the passer call WAS the game, plain and simple. On the NFL network (radio) this morning, it was actually the "lead" story, with both commentators saying exactly that. They could not believe the call, and said that it CLEARLY cost the Bengals the game. As for the decision to kick the 62 yarder... I think it was hands down the best decision. I have personally seen Grahm kick them that length, and though not a high percentage kick, imo, a much higher percentage of making it over a hail mary pass to the endzone.
  19. Montgomery beat South Laurel, not North Oldham.
  20. According to the KHSAA website: Montgomery 34 South Laurel 14
  21. Do you care to be more specific? Who do you think is not getting the job done that's getting too much praise?
  22. I've never been happier to see a coach leave as I was when Mumme left. Ask the fans at NM State what they think about Mumme. He led them to an impressive 0-12 record in his first season in the powerful WAC, and they currently sit at 2-3. That's 2-15 so far at NM State. Could be the worst hire in UK Athletic history.
  23. This game scares me a little, and the Bengals have not played so well the last couple of games. I think it will be closer than most think. Bengals 24 Bucs 21
