  1. Define "Top" Here you go: In looking at D1 Passing (yardage) Defensive rankings we find this: Brohms Opponents - UK (119), UC (55), Temple (93), Miami (42), SYR (90), WV (78), Rutgers (2). Average of 68.4 ranking. Woodson's Opponents - UL (72), CM (85), UF (74), Miss (56), UGA (14), LSU (13), SC (31), MSU (83), & Vandy (51, 16 prior to UK). Average of 53.2 ranking. Comparably ranked opponents of each: for Brohm, #55 UC, Woodson #56 Ole Miss. Brohm vs/ UC: 20/37 (54%), 324 yd., 1 TD, 1 INT Woodson vs/ Ole Miss: 22/34 (65%), 293 yd., 3 TD, 0INT Versus Top 5 Defensive Opponents (Pass yardage): Brohm: 80/129 (62%) - 1225 yds - 5 TD - 2 INT Woodson: 106/176 (60%) - 1387 yds - 10 TD - 4 INT IMO, safe to say we have 2 pretty good QB's. Woodson's numbers stack up pretty good w/ Brohm's.
  2. I thought the very same thing. It looked like CP just heaved the ball without looking, or giving it time.
  3. Do you feel the same way about KY HS football? Are you happy that the 2 4A Lousiville powers meet prior to the finals now? Or is that different?
  4. Why do I think if the stats were reversed, you wouldn't be saying this?
  5. These are the same people who ranked Tim Couch as high as he was. I know that Brohm is probably the better QB, but at least be honest enough to admith that Woodson's having the better season (so far).
  6. Please explain how either of these hurt the Bengals. The Bengals had plenty of time, to score at the end, they just didn't get it done. The ONLY thing that hurt the Bengals today was the lack of a defense. 42 points in the second half...Are you kidding me? Breshnahan needs to be fired.
  7. I guess only time will tell.
  8. I was right there as well, and I thought it was a catch. To me, it appeared he bobbled it at first, then controlled it with one hand, and got 1 foot in the back of the endzone. Didn't really matter though. The way that Rock's defense totally shut down Bell, all they needed was that first score.
  9. What about the poor sportsmanship shown by Bell's Coach? I thought at times he acted pretty bad. Jumping up and down, running down the sideline at least twice when he didn't get a PI call that he thought he should have. I've never seen a grown man jump as high as he did.
  10. Remember, this is a business. Sometimes big business is not "fair", just ask Durham from Rockcastle.
  11. I didn't say it was fair, I said it was the only way for the Big East to get over the slighting. The major conference schools don't need to play BEast teams on the road, they have nothing to gain. Big East teams will NOT get the respect they deserve until they bolster their OOC schedule. If you can't get a home and home, play them on the road. Playing and beating MTSU, Temple, UK, etc. is not going to get you the respect you desire. It's a sacrifice that you need to make if you really want to take your program (& conference) to the next level.
  12. I could not agree more. :thumb: I really don't understand the choke excuse by many of the UL fans. Rutgers simply took it to them.
  13. Likely argument by a Big East supporter, but I don't buy it. If the BEast teams want respect, the Top in the BEast need to start playing the Top teams in the SEC, Big 10, Big 12, etc. year in and year out. Have UL, WVA, Rutgers, etc. play (& beat) OSU, Texas, USC, UM, UF, etc. That is the only way that the BEast gets the respect it's due. You may not get a home/home with them, but beat them a few times, and the rules start changing. It does those teams no good to play the weaker teams (ie. UK) and beat them.
  14. I don't understand this thinking. Why couldn't the loser of the OSU / um game be able to be considered the best 1 loss team?
  15. Are you kidding me? No chance this year, but maybe after that.
  16. :thumb: I think the hit caused the ball to sail.
  17. I was wondering the same thing.
  18. I agree, but don't you think that they pretty much are in 2 weeks?
  19. If UM wins, you get a warm and fuzzy feeling about getting OSU again?
  20. Funny how the UM fans are the ones pushing for a rematch already.
  21. I've been a OSU fan a lot longer than a UK fan. I've not feared the UM game since Cooper was fired, and Tressell was hired.
  22. As an OSU fan, I really don't care. A difference in confidence, I guess.
  23. Honestly, why is Rutgers any different than UL?
  24. I had the same thought, wonder why they didn't? And to kick to Spillman?
