  1. As much as I'm going to get yelled at for even saying this............PC losing might not be a bad thing! Build the momentum for the Harrison Co game and have them looking for revenge in Regional play! I'll never pick against the Cats though, I'm going Cats by 5 end of regulation with free throws being a factor.
  2. I knew that was where he was teaching, wasn't sure if he was coaching there also. A Polar Bear to a Wildcat and now a Devil, wow
  3. Is Jamey Johnson an asst at Deming this year?
  4. My favorites, For Love of the Game The Rookie Bad News Bears Field of Dreams The Natural
  5. Thanks Cash 2 games in Lexington and no Seniors. Disappointed
  6. You've been in teaching for 20 years? From what I've seen of Pat I think he is a very polite, well mannered young man. The times I have been in the classroom with Pat, basketball is not a subject he brings up in conversation with his peers or teachers. He leaves that for time with his teammates and coaches. I think that is great article and am glad Pat and the rest of the team is displayed is such a positive light.
  7. I think PC will be strong. IMO, Austin Monroe is a heck of a baseball player. He always seemed to hit the ball hard when duty called. I think the Cats have several seniors who need to step and take a leadership role. A few of these seniors have played together since tee-ball and have really learned the strengths and weaknesses of one another. 10th Region baseball is always fun!!!
  8. I know several people said not to overlook the Cards and they were right. Great game, Josh Wood impressed me. I thought he stepped up for GRC. Winning by 1 with 5 seconds left is what good teams have to do and PC did. Great win, more to come!
  9. Sharp I forgot how funny you were! Oh how I feel for Mrs.Sharp everyday
  10. Right now the focus needs to be on this years team and coaching staff. Talking about a coach leaving is not good for fans or for the players. Pendleton County has a great shot at heading down the road to Rupp in March and Buddy Biggs is the driver of that bus. Support him and the players and let the season end, on a good note. If Coach Biggs feels like there is a better opportunity for him somewhere else and the fit is right then I'm sure the people in Pendleton County will make another great decision on hiring a Head Coach. They didn't go wrong 5 years ago. I think with motiviation and hard work some of the JV boys could step up and be good athletes. I think any JV team would be hard to play for and coach while living in the shadows of such a good Varsity squad. They are always compared to the varsity team or the team from the year before. Some of these guys are freshman and they haven't built the strength or aggresiveness that players like Elliot and Belcher have. Notice the change in Kane from last year to this year.
  11. Yes Freak it was his dad. Was at the game but didn't make it down to say hello. Cats battled back to win a close one. Way to go Cats!

  13. Good Luck to the Cats! Don't forget the "Souper Bowl" Cook-off before the Varsity game. Sample soups from Pendelton Co School employees, community leaders, business people and goverment officials. $5 for adults and you can sample everyones soup and vote for your favorite. Winner will be announced during Varisty Game!
  14. Kinda glad I'm not at this one! Listening on here is enough for me.
  15. I think I'm going to start my own newspaper! I'll cover Pendleton, Bracken, Mason, Harrison, Augusta, Deming, Campbell County, St. Patricks, Gallatin, Owen, Grant and Williamstown. (Did I leave anyone out) If I'm correct though, when Pendleton went to state the only television stations that covered the journey to Lexington were stations out of Lexington. LadiesBBall or MildfordFlash do you remember?
  16. Money is a big part of athletics whether we like it or not. Spectators are an important part too. I'm not sure that Brossart made the decision about money though. I believe they wanted everyone from both schools to have the opportunity to enjoy the game. The players can appreciate the move because more fans will be there and the fans will appreciate the move because of the atmosphere and being comfortable. I remember a few years ago the gym was almost unbearable and condensation started developing on the floor. Both schools have a great fan following so this helps eliminate the liablity on Brossarts part, if an accident occured because of overcrowding. The home court advantage will be missed but may the best team win.
  17. Cats win by 3......sorry don't know the final score.
  18. You are exactly right, alot of young talented coaches. We were discussing this in my office this morning. I think the young guys have learned a lot from the 10th Region veteran coaches. As a student and a fan I have learned from coaches young and old.
  19. Jon Elrod is AMAZING! He is my hero. Great game Wildcats. As I posted earlier if the boys underneath could put up some big numbers and Elrod was hot at the 3 they'd pull out a win. They got focused and came out hot in the second half. Great game cats, go get'em tomorrow. GO CATS!!
  20. ladiesbball - Thats a good thought. We were discussing the same thing last night at the game. We thought the team just looked tired, instead of well rested.
  21. Thanks for the info Mustang. Don't think I'll get to make it tonight but I'm sure glad I can listen.
  22. Cats need to be focused and ready to play. I look for Elrod and/or Davis to be on fire behind the 3 and Elliott and Belcher putting up big numbers underneath. If the Cats play up to their potential I see a W in the future for the Cats. But beware, Brossart is ready for the 10th region upset!
