Campbell Co. 31 Boone Co. 28 OT
As I said before the officials did not have a good night. They did motion for the clock to start and they knew it had not started, half of the Camel Team on the sidelines and the Camel Nation was screaming "Start the Clock!" and they let them kick it anyway. If that would have gone through and they waved it off the Boone team would have felt cheated. The officials have to keep the game under control especially in a playoff setting. Maybe in a playoff setting you need to have non-biased or non-emotional officals on the clock, that would be a tough few seconds for a home based clock keeper. Your fingers would be slow to react.

Campbell Co. 31 Boone Co. 28 OT
I did not see it hit the crossbar, are you sure about that? Was a strange play but then the officials had a bad night from what I saw....bad spots, let several big pass interferences go on Boone but called a big pass interference on what appeared to be a good defensive play. The defender's hands were all over Griffin while the ball was in the air with no attempt to go after the ball but no flag. I thought that was questionable but then to tag the Camels with that penalty when he reached over the receiver and tapped away the ball with little if no contact. Let's call it both ways in a game like this. And the clock situation in the final seconds. That clock should have started as soon as it was set and some if not all of the 2 sec left should have expired on the play where the QB downed the snap. Not to start at all! Oh well, just glad the game was not decided on that, overtime allowed both teams to win it or loss it on their own without the officials or clock keeper influencing the game.

Camel Nation in full force! More purple there than powder blue. Boone has a great program and should be proud, it just wasn't their year.

Campbell Co. vs Boone Co. Playoff Game
Football is not over yet at CCHS, the team is not satisfied with 7-3 as you will see.:fight:

Boone Co 14 Conner 0
I was surprised to hear this score, thought Boone would have beaten Conner by more, even with the sloppy field. Not the way to enter the playoffs.

All I said was that I think I may have gone for the tie but that was just an armchair quarterback comment. That is why I am not a coach and why they spent the time and energy to make those decisions for our teams. I respect the coaching staff and support them 100%. I know we are all upset with the loss but let's not get on each other. It was just my thoughts at the time, I am glad I did not have to make that call. As I said gutsy call and you are right probably the right one but maybe I would not have been able to make that decision. I still think that going from the shotgun was questionable looking at the placement of the ball on the one yd line, going by percentages only. But if you catch them looking for QB sneak or off tackle, that play works. Great D by Dixie. It just wasn't the Camels night, too many mistakes and turnovers but I still bleed Purple and I do believe! The big games are still ahead! Re-group and work hard boys and great job to Troy and his staff:thumb: What happened was the Dixie fans threw a bottle at the Camel players and coaches and it landed on the field. I really was disappointed in that behavior and you are 100% correct it did effect your momentum.

Camels had 4th and 1 to go for a TD at the end of the game trailing by 3 and elected to go for the win. QB ran a play from the shotgun around the end and got tackled short of the goal. Not sure I would have ran that particular play with inches to go but gutsy move to go for the win. I may have gone for the tie since the Camels had all the momentum at the end. Camels did not play their best game of the year on offense but give Dixie credit for hanging on for the win.

Predictions on 10th Region
From what I read he stated that PC was not Augusta or Deming.

Predictions on 10th Region
Yes the Camel's record with PC over the last 6 seasons is 4-9. It is true that over the last two years PC has had better teams and during those years the two teams played each other twice a year but back when the Camels had successful teams they only played each other once a year. But I will agree that PC has had the Camel's number over the past few years but I think that is about to change. Our current junior and soph class has outmatched their counterpart teams from PC throughout Middle School and Freshman years so unless PC gets transfers as in the past there should be more competative games between the two teams.

Dixie at Campbell Co predictions
It will be a tough fought game by both teams but I think that the Camels will continue to ride high and win this one. The home field and fans will give the Camels the edge they need for victory. BELIEVE... CAMEL NATION !!

Predictions on 10th Region
Well that is why you play the game because if the outcome was based upon what we thought then we all would be #1. Since these teams do not play each other regular season we will have to wait until the post. I really do not see this happening but it is America and everyone has the right to speak their mind....and as WE know America is good!!!

Predictions on 10th Region
I have to agree with this one.........if we look at last year's score of the Deming vs Campbell Co game the Camels won 86-34 and Coach Reitz dressed for varsity the whole JV squad and they all played. In fact the starters played very little in this game giving way to the rest of the Camel squad. The Camel JV team won 59-17 as well playing all players. Campbell Co did not play Augusta but Deming beat Augusta last year by 10.

Predictions on 10th Region
Yes they lost White, Clines, Schmidt, McCann and Kramer but there are several juniors that started and had a lot of varsity time last year......Verst, Franzen and Eten. This is a strong junior class that plays well as a team, something that was lacking last year. Add the seniors Dischar and Walker, with their size and good things could happen for the Camels. They will miss the scoring of White and Clines but I believe you will see a more even distribution in scoring from this group. So hopefully, if someone is off that night someone else will step up and get the job done for the men in Purple.

Predictions on 10th Region
Thanks I guess I was being sarcastic....not to rate this team in the top ten is a mistake. I think that they will surprise a few, let's hope. But the only ranking that matters is the final one.

Campbell County Public Address...
Thanks for reminding us that those games are on the web, that should answer the question if the PA announcer routinely does play by play during the play. This should put this debate to rest. So if anyone wants to hear for himself or herself they have that opportunity. I will go back and listen for that now infamous call by Greg calling for the QB keeper. Frankly this is getting comical in nature....if you come to see the Camels in Alexandria and do not like our announcer well I did not like the cannon in Ft Thomas, the bottles filled with rocks/coins in Boone etc. but I respected that schools flavor of spirit and did not "rip" it like some seem to do about our PA announcer. We feel he adds fun and spirit to the game for all. He is a good man always acknowledging the opponent's teams cheerleaders and fans and bringing a personal touch to our games.

Routinely??? Come on, just how many games have you attended? Give it up. And back to the original question from Guru.......I do appreciate and think that the PA announcer at CCHS is a riot and does a great job informing and entertaining the crowd (not the players) and obviously if you are an opposing team and you lose to the Camels you may not agree and may begin to exaggerate the truth and begin to blame the PA announcer for the loss, not the execution of the Camels. And by the way Guru, thanks for coming to the game and getting those great photos of the boys on both teams. Your efforts do not go unnoticed as well. PS...... I hope you did not yell out to our defense last night to give them any instructions on the activities of the offense.

Campbell County Public Address...
Point taken......if he talked routinely or more than that once I could see the negative discussion but a single mistake should be overlooked and should not override all the positives of his enthusium for the program and the kids. Could it have been an open mike situation and one of the other gentlemen in the booth blerted it out; I ask that because frankly I did not hear it at that game in question, maybe I was focused on the game and not what was said. But whatever the situation, I am proud of our boys and the program. Go Camels and good luck the rest of the season.

Campbell County Public Address...
Boy you sound bitter so from all Camel Fans we apologize if our announcer blerted out something in that one game changed the outcome of that game....I am sure if he had not blerted out that the QB was going to pull it in and run our Camel defense would have just let that QB go and pursued the running back, fullback, wide receivers that were not in the play and who did not even have the ball. And oh by the way....how many other games have you been to at the Pyramid...since you seem to proclaim to all that our announcer does play by play directing our defense. I don't think one emotional mistake makes a pattern. Come on let's stop the negative and get over it. It's only a game.

Campbell County Public Address...
I think that Greg Rose has doen an exceptional job.........giving credit where its due whether its his "beloved" Camels or the opposition. This "ONE" incident that seems to get bigger and bigger and a flag last year.....come on! Back up that with details but since it did not happen that could be hard. If the announcer blerted something out I am sure it was an honest slip (remember guys, he is not a professional announcer only a businessman volunteering his time and energy) and if you really think that the players on the field listen for his direction you must have never played football. I seriously doubt that an announcer's comment would dictate actions on the field, I would think that it could have been the movements of that quarterback that could have made that defense react not the announcer's commentary. I think it is a shame that all high school progams do not have a PA announcer with the personality that Mr Rose displays. If its anything it's jealousy. And last year I did witness the parents of SK trying to "storm" the announcer booth to get a piece of him. Now that is a shame and a detriment to the game. He does not overshadow the game only adds another layer of entertainment just as the bands and the cheerleaders. Keep up the good work Greg, you are appreciated by the Camel faithful and by many of our opponent's fans that come to the Pyramid. Oh and by the way.............great victory last night CAMELS!
