  1. Camels are looking really good to date including the JV and freshman I think they only have one loss.
  2. Arent you the same guy that said that the Camels would not have a 26 point improvement over the first game?? You were right but they had a 20 pt improvement!! Its March Madness so anything can happen....good luck though to Coach Carr and his Eagles and to Coach Kendall and his Thorobreds.
  3. Agree that at this time the edge is to Scott, Camels played a lackluster game last time they met and have improved since then. The Camels are capable of beating this team IF everyone steps it up and plays to their potential. Need a big game from the seniors, their height and leaping ability can be a factor. Camels will miss sophomore Petey Albrecht who is out with a shoulder separation, he could have been the difference in the game. I do not see Campbell Co playing zone on the Eagles as we did the last time. Whatever the outcome, Coach Carr has prepared his team and his team has produced for him. He needs to be congratulated. We have seen him so many times at our games this year knowing that it would come down to this. This is a family affair for him since his nephew, Jordan Parks, is the Camel's starting point guard. But at this game, Grandma Wannie will wear both blue and purple as she cheers for her son and grandson. I think the Camels will make this a close game. Scott has all the pressure on them and the Camels have nothing to lose. This game will be decided by the intensity, desire and pride exhibited by the Camels.
  4. I would have to agree with your Darius Miller and your length of the court down the lane floater from Jesse Hall and as far as a set three-pointer I would take Jon Verst from Campbell Co, he's done it for the Camels several times.
  5. The Camels struggle against teams with a good inside game due to our lack of post play. The Camels were out rebounded, had 19 turnovers and only shot 43% from the field, 6-19 from behind the three. From the line we were 6-11 while Ryle went to the line 21 times making 13. As far as Jon Verst he was 7-16 of those 5-11 behind the three with 19 points. So all in all not a good way to end the regular season. BUT the season is just starting and I feel that the players will get themselves ready to put it all on the line against Scott on Tuesday. All the pressure is on Scott so the Camels need to play aggressive and put the pressure on them from the start. We are a different team from earlier in the season when we faced the Eagles and this team has been underacheiving all season so I can only hope that these boys will dig deep inside and show us what they are made of..... Camel Pride WE BELIEVE !! GO CAMELS!!!!!
  6. Not sure of the Harrison Co score but the Camel won 34-29. They were losing by 10 at the end of the 3rd quarter and came back to win. Camels did not have one of their leading scorers, Brady Jolly (sick) and Cody Neises was held scoreless in the first three quarters. Not sure but I think that the championship is at Clark Co at 7:30 PM.
  7. Both Campbell Co and Harrison Co advance to the 10th region freshman championship game tomorrow night at Clark Co. Good luck Coach Sean Maddy and the Camel frosh!!!
  8. Any thoughts on this one? Ryle seems to win the ones they shouldn't and lose the ones they shouldn't. Could be a hard one to predict.
  9. Final Camels are the 37th District JV Champions!!! Great job Coach Enzweiler and Team. We are proud of you!! :dancingpa
  10. He had 8 points and played very little in the second half.
  11. Leading scorer for the Camels was senior Brandon Griffin with 15, Jon Verst with 10 and Noah Dischar with 9. The Camels protected the ball with only 4 turnovers and if you have followed the Camels at all this year and Who Dey I know you have, that has been a problem for us all year. This team is coming together at the right time. Sophomore Petey Albrecht did not play tonight due to a shoulder injury that occured at the Newport game.
  12. What does Mason County do for their players for Senior Night? Just wondered how that was handled there.
  13. He was on fire! I think though he had 7 three's maybe 7-9 from the three. Whatever it was he was in the ZONE!
  14. I also agree with much of what you say and also say its time to put this to rest but I was not referring to the above bolded incident. But I will not say more, its not necessary. And BTW great win Camels JV!!! Good season to the Brossart JV team, keep working hard because next year you will see these JV players and the current soph and juniors on the varsity squad in the "7:30" games.
  15. Leadership is the responsibility of parents and school administrators. It was taken care of.
  16. Final Sophomore Patrick Nerl had a career high 37 points in this victory over Newport in the Desert Classic. Great job Patrick.
  17. I know that this is a basketball forum but I must say something about this incident. Yes some students were cheering when your player was down I did not see parents if so then shame on them. Could they have been applauding the good play, not the injury? Then stopped once they noticed the possile injury, I hope so. I can not answer that and neither can you. Yes as Striker stated a CC parent immediately went down to the student section and scolded the students for their inappropriate behavior. This is a very intense rivalary and some, I will repeat myself, some of the students acted disrepectful. But they were immediately reprimanded by an adult. And if you think that this would or has never occured at BBHS, don't fool yourself. So if you choose to not forgive them, then remember your students will not be forgiven by others for their mistakes. And I would think that your school would promote forgiveness. With the antics of some of your mentors and coaches at this JV game I can see why you choose to get off subject on this one.
  18. No I am not kidding but it could have been Williamstown that cancelled not sure.
  19. The Camels defeated Brossart for the second time this season in the semi-finals of the 37th District JV tournament 47-39. They will play Scott in the finals. Camels were led in scoring by Andy Franzen with 14, Chris Addie with 8 and Matt Coffman with 8. Brossart was led by Jacob Rieger with 10 and Greg Stortz with 8. Good luck Coach Enzweiler and boys against Scott. And by the way Coach Enz we would be proud to have you as an alumnus from Campbell County!!!! :sssh:
