  1. This will be a challenge for Coach Code since there are many of the returning players that play soccer and football. Maybe with some creative thinking and cooperation it can be worked out.
  2. No need for him to do that, he should keep the green ones as fond memories and get his Camel attire as he starts his legacy as a head coach. If must be rewarding to finally have his chance at being a head coach after all of these years as an assistant. He deserves and will get some new PURPLE and GOLD shirts!
  3. I really do not feel it appropriate to announce this since I believe that it is confidential information. At least where I work we are not allowed to announce such items. And besides I have only heard from others who interviewed nothing official.
  4. There were four good candidates and I think that Scott Code will do a good job. He has had success as an assistant and now he has his chance as a head coach. He has been in the Camel family at Reiley for 10 years and should be a good fit for the Camels. I hope that he will consider keeping the current coachings staff because I feel that they deserve a chance in a new system. There are some young coaches at CCHS that are good for the program. Good Luck to Coach Code and welcome to the Camel Nation.
  5. I heard that they were all today, no word yet.
  6. Just as it should be, this is a decision between the AD and his team that he assembles to help with the interview/decision process. That is what they are getting paid for and I am sure that they will choose wisely.
  7. Innuendos and insinuations are the tools of the ignorant or uninformed.
  8. May I ask you a question?? How are you privy to the candidates names that are coming in for this position. Are these not confidential? I am a little confused? Enlighten me please.
  9. Dave Enzweiler is a great young coach but probably does not have the experience to be a head coach just yet. Give him a few good years under an experienced coach and he will make a great head. Not sure he has applied but I hope that he stays on in a coaching role with whoever gets the position. Coach Maddy is also a good young coach who gained the respect of his players over the past few years. Not sure he is quite ready yet but a definite positive for the program.
  10. Thanks now I remember who he is, is a good coach but I don't believe that his job situation has changed and CCHS I am sure wants someone in the building not a paraprofessional.
  11. Could you give me some background on Tony Bacigalupo, I am not familar with him.
  12. :thumb: That is toooooo logical! Or how about having policies and guidelines in place for people to follow?? I knew that this would be the response, it always is. The scapegoat for a poor decision made because of someones personal agenda. Oh well this thread is about Brossart asking for permission to use Bob Miller Stadium, we need to get back to the point. Have we heard what the official response was from the administration at CCS?
  13. Let's not forget this is the same man that made the decision to shut down the youth basketball program that had been established by the high school head basketball coach and going strong for many years. This program involved more than 100 students of Campbell County Schools . These students were having fun and learning the fundamentals of basketball until the powers to be decided that this was not the direction CCS wanted to go, supporting youth programs. Now all of a sudden he is a hero for starting a youth football program????? I do not want to bring up negatives but unfortunately the program has suffered and the numbers of elementary students playing basketball has dropped dramatically.
  14. :thumb: Can not agree with you more. Maybe the "feeder schools" can work with Brossart and help with some of their problems with lack of facilities. Where does their baseball and softball teams play? I do not remember seeing a field for that either? In fact, come to think of it I guess the small gym is all the athletic facilities they have. How do other private schools like Covington Cath, St Henry, Elder, Moeller provide their students with athletic facilities? Maybe they can network and develop a game plan for such success. Now that would be fair to their students.
  15. I forgot about our freshman program, in fact last year due to concerns of wear and tear on the field Campbell County High School freshman football team was kept off this field and made to play their home games on the practice field with no scoreboards, clocks or stands for spectators. So why would CCS administration consider allowing another school to lease out the field? I would think that the teams at CCHS should be given first consideration and will be given first consideration.
  16. That might be good for Holmes but at this field we also have our middle school games, youth programs and also the Red Devils have had one or two series of games a year there as well. Then we have the band festival which is an all weekend event. The varsity football program has walkthroughs there every Thurs night as well. So as you can see the scheduling would be an issue as well as the wear and tear on the field. That wear and tear would result in a field with no grass which could potential be a safety issue for the players due to injuries on the hard surface. And I do not think that the rent and so called concessions money can compensate for player injuries. As far as concessions money....what makes you think that is going to CC? From what I know, Brossart has only put in a request to use the facility and there has been no decision made by the Central Office. So I really do not think that that has been discussed.
  17. I hope that IF this rumor is true then the forementioned programs i.e. athletic boosters at both schools, band boosters and the CC junior programs and the Red Devils program need to get together, become proactive and develop a game plan to fund such an investment. BUT I seriously worry that until this is done the field will not withstand the abuse of two varsity programs, a JV program, a middle school program, youth programs and a band contest. Just scheduling this field regardless of turf with all of these programs and then adding Brossart's home games will be an issue. The varsity football program at CCHS should not be compromised by adding another local varsity program to this field's schedule.
  18. Yes she is......her brother was a good player for the Camels, Brett White.
  19. I saw the uniforms, they look good. I think this will be a good season for the Camels. They do have some holes to fill but Coach Styers will have them ready. Yes Brian S is a BEAST!
  20. Brian Sauerbeck from Campbell Co, hope the coach will get him off the O line some so he can really shine on "D".
