  1. Way to go BEAST !! I am proud of you and I will need to check out that schedule for next year and make a road trip with your mom and dad!
  2. Most??? Maybe most that come to the games but those are the kids whose parents can drop $30.00 along with all of the school fees at the beginning of the year. The other kids who do not show up are the ones that I worry about. Those are the kids whose parents would not shell out or can not shell out $30.00 for the pass and it is up to the kid to say lunch money or work money to pay the $5.00 for each game they go to. In fact most schools in the area that sell student passes sell it for less than what Campbell Co does. I really hope that this is looked at before next season.
  3. 22 for Cov Cath and 21 for Campbell Co in turnovers. I agree with the hesitation crossing the midcourt line, if its supposed to draw the defense out well it is not working. Maybe that philosophy needs to be reevaluated against teams like Cov Cath.
  4. I thought the same thing.....I thought the Camel student section was great last night, need more there but thanks to the school administration for selling $2.00 tickets to the game so more students could come. At the normal $5.00 per student many just can not afford to come as often as they would like. Hope to see more "special" nights the rest of the season.
  5. Jordan Woodruff and Matt Coffman for Campbell Co.
  6. Harrison Co big......get it out of your system before you come to the Desert next week. That game will be a tough one for the Camels.
  7. Stats for the Camels FG 23-47 49% 3 Pt 4-8 50% FT 9-12 75% Ben Franzen 17 pts Jordan Parks 13 pts Andy Franzen 13 Pts Petey Albrecht 13 pts Also on the night the Camels JV team defeated the Colonels.
  8. Tough loss for the Camels, they dominated the whole game and quickly gave up a 10 point lead with many questionable calls and sloppy ball handling by the Camels. I also agree....what is really a charge?? I think this crew needs to go back and watch this game and see just exactly what they "think" a charge may be. And too many no calls. With an aggressive team such as the Colonels to only have 1 foul in the second half late in the game to the Camels 10 seems a little unlikely to me. BUT with all that said, this Camel team needs to learn to win and that is something the Colonels have no problem with. I also think that this Cov Cath team gets many calls due to the presence of Coach Listermann on the sidelines....very respected coach but should not get the calls because of that. Camels need to learn to win, hit the free throws down the stretch and keep playing hard. Defensively are playing well but offensively still too much passing for me, but then I do love an up tempo transition basketball game.
  9. I have known coaches who bring the "role" players into the office after the mid-point of the season and tells them that he would understand if they decided to quit due to the lack of playing time. That he would not be mad at them if they decided that they did not want to commit the time to practicing and not getting the minutes. And others who bring 10 seniors into his office before the season starts and tells them that he will only keep 4-5 of them which basically tells the "role" players from the last few years they are not needed or wanted. I personally do not think that players should quit the team after they commit to it but I also do not believe that a coach should encourage them to quit either.
  10. LCA defeated Campbell Co in a game at NKU early in the season and the Camels had no problem with Brossart. The Camels did not play a very good game against LCA, their press could not be beat. LCA has lost to some really good teams from what I can see. LCA should have no problem with Brossart even though I am pulling for the Mustangs in this one.
  11. Are you saying that he was 36-36 in the last three games? I think he was 20-20 still good but not 36.
  12. Not the case at all....in fact CC was ahead most if not half of the game. At the end of one is was CC 11-Holmes 6; Half it was CC 25-Holmes 24; end of three it was CC 38-Holmes 40 and with around 4 min to go it was tied. Official called a fourth foul on Nerl (25) but he was no where near the play it was a foul on either 21 or 4 and he immediatately fouled again taking him out of the game. With Petey Albrecht with 4 and Nerl fouled out the Camels could not buy a FT down the stretch missing 6 straight.
  13. The Camels were led in scoring by Patrick Nerl with 27, Petey Albrecht with 11 and Jordan Parks with 8. Leading scorer for Tates Creek was Sparks with 19.
  14. At half..... Tates Creek 38 Campbell Co 24 in the Colt Classic. Sloppy game for the Camels so far.
  15. No you have that wrong.....the Camels started out 9-0 and took a decisive lead in the first half with the score 22-7 at one point. Right before the half Scott went on a spurt and came within 10, then in the second half as you stated the Camels blew it open again. The Final Score was 65-40. Good luck to Coach Carr's team, he will get this team ready for play later in the season or next year. A good coach!!! The Camels played a hard game and came out to win. Jordan Parks played a great game against Uncle Brad, he had something to prove after last year. All three squads posted a victory last night, good night in the Desert!! Good luck to Code's men as they travel to the Colt Classic to play Tate's Creek tonight.
  16. Yes this is something he will need to work on, but then this has been a concern for the Camels all year. Too many turnovers, but learning a new system and not having varsity experience are contributing factors.
  17. Leading scorer for the Camels was Petey Albrecht with 24 points and 13 rebounds.
