There are 365 days in a year, there are 10 game days, five more if you make it to the finals. Just the nature of the sport is can be insane...that's what makes it special IMO. It sounds as if Coach Jackson is giving his athletes everything he has to prepare them for success...who could ask for more. Athletes, true athletes live for those opportunities. Coach Jackson is one of the top coaches in Kentucky. Therefore, without watching any of their games I know that his players are prepared, in great condition, play with intensity, and bleed Panther Pride. But, that being said, that's why they play a tournament..."on any given night..." Just because we lose, doesn't mean the plan is flawed. Coach Jackson and Coach Dixon are two very talented young men. Southeast Kentucky football is very lucky to have two such dedicated coaches. Guarantee you the players would say the same. Sounds like the game was a battle!

Enough negativity toward the Pikeville coach, time for some positive toward the Hazard coach. Mark, your positive attitude toward your team no matter what the situation pays off for your program time and time again. I have never known you to EVER be negative about your kids or your chances in any game. This was a great win, and for you, your staff, and your players to be going to the regional finals after graduating so many talented athletes from last year's squad is incredible. Friday was a long day for you. Started very sad...ended up outstanding. Good luck this week. :thumb:

News? This sounds like fiction. No offense to the men mentioned here, but this post is a joke. And I don't mean this personal to the person who wrote this...I'm sure negativity exists around all programs, someone's not happy about something...but Kenny being fired from Middlesboro is not even in "the book" for SE Kentucky football...Kenny Roark IS Middlesboro Football. His success is his own curse at most...his teams are competitive year after year. If we mention every job that people are being negative, we might as well mention every job.

Did anyone catch Hal Mumme's New Mexico State team last night? He's definitely having to start from scratch. They are much better than last year. QB threw for over 500 yards. You talk about a system keeping a team in a game. Boise State had a huge advantage program/athlete wise. They pulled away in the end but it was fun to watch. I would have like to have seen him win.

First of all, each of these guys run basically the same offense. Tony's system is his system because he took that added some stuff, took some out, etc., just like each coach. Now, Tony is smart, he saw a need, offered something that met the need, obviously, HUNDREDS of coaches believe in it. I guess each coach could market it themselves showing their tweaks and the same people who bought tony's stuff would buy theirs too. That is how coaches are...looking for one more extra thing. I know that Hatch is doing it, don't know why Leach isn't doing it, and I never understood why Mumme doesn't do it. A couple of other points, FAST defensive people can destroy any offense; and I'm just curious, why would you call Tony and Rush "crooks"? That's some strong stuff...

Mike Jones is an outstanding coach...great offensive mind...does a heckuva job adjusting his offense to his talent. All programs go through some tough times...

You invited everyone in when you put it on the internet. Teams are full of kids who do everything they are asked and more. It wasn't a comment, it was a dig at a coach and quite frankly sounded like petty jealousy. And yes, that's my opinion. It's one game, I'm sure the individual you're talking about is going to have a great year. The coach's record proves he's got a plan and it seems to work more than it fails. Stick with the plan, experience success, fight the plan...fail and point the finger. I guess that is why coaches coach, players play, and the rest of us stay up and type on BLUEGRASS PREPS!!!:dancingpa

So let me get this straight, you're calling out the QB and a senior and the whole offense, saying that they didn't do a good job, and at the same time your upset because an individual wasn't given the ball enough so he could have great memories? AND you think that this is going to help? Sounds like a personal problem to me. And I'm not trying to be a smartalick(?). Your sending your son/relative/friend the wrong message. The front of that jersey says HAZARD not...whoever. They won. The season is a marathon, not a sprint. This is the stuff that causes the problems on HS teams. If you'll say this publicly, (which isn't very smart, because if there was a problem this could make it worse if the coach was actually the way you say he is...which you're lucky because he isn't)...plus I'm sure you're saying it at home. All you're doing is making it rough for him. This puts pressure on him...nobody else...let'em play and enjoy this year. We had ours...let him have his.:sssh: Mike Ditka didn't give Walter Payton the ball on the two yard line...you think he would trade that ring for a measly TD? I'd say winning that game was a good memory. YOU need to enjoy the season and help the situation, not stir up stuff...kids read this...

Hmmmm....Ok, playing cross town rival...huge game...got to call the right play...I think the defense is vulnerable here so this play should work...we could score and win...everyone is happy...wait...I better REWARD this player instead...priorities... Chris Metzger coaches at Lely HS and is doing a tremendous job. Taken that program to a new level. Great person, hard worker, class act!! There are a couple of jobs that will be coming open in that area soon from what I understand. Great place to live!!
