Phelps is a well coached team. They have been shooting the ball very good. They have a legit shot of making it to the Regional Championship.

I thought N Gwinnett would win this one. I saw the highlights. Lowndes has a quick running back N Gwinett couldnt stop. He run a 95 yrd td on the first play.

Chuke did not dominate at Bourbon County but it takes time to build a program. Hilton left Chuke with little talent his first year. Chuke had a nice season at Bourbon his 2nd year 9-2? Lost a lot of players after that and had a bad 3rd year. He gets a pass in my book.

Any news from the discussions with Chuke Williams?

I was at that game. If I am not mistaken, it was Alan Shorts first game starting qb after Jason left.

None of the Belfry boys get much consideration because their stats are spread out because of the quailty depth. I am sure winning state championships is all their worried about though. I would like to see Belfry get a Mr Football award over the next few years but my vote would go to John Cole this year.

This is why the majority of Lawrence County wants Chuke back at the helm. I have nothing but respect for Chuke Williams. I just hope everyone can put the hard feelings aside and make the right choice for the program.

Well, I hope I can make it down to Papa Johns to watch Belfry play for another championship. If you are who I think you are, I have enjoyed discussing Belfry football and Lawrence County football since the late 90's.

Congrats Belfry.... I will try my best to go down and support the Pirates again at Papa Johns. EKU, could this be the best Belfry team ever? It sure looks like it. They are KILLING ppl this year.

Chuke Williams... Qualifications are obvious. If Chuke Williams is not in contact with LC, then LC should seriously be after Chuke. Chuke Williams knows football and is a winner. He pushed EVERY player to give his all. I know parents have been against Chuke in the past but he made their kids play to their potential. A lot of players that played under Chuke really respected him and thought a lot of him. What other PROVEN coaches are candidates for the LC coaching job? Ed Dixon is a good coach, and would be a nice assistant under Chuke. I would like to see Dixon get the LC coaching job one day, but I don't think he is ready. But if LC is hiring a coach already in the system, they should hire Dixon.

A lot of fans in Lawrence County want Chuke Williams back. I have heard from former players under Chuke that he wanted to coach. Chuke is a great coach, and definately would qualify for the job if he applied. I am unaware of the politics in LC, but Chuke should get a chance if he wants it. No one should hold a grudge because Chuke went to Bourbon County. If they offered him a significant raise, in door practice facility, etc..... It would be hard to turn down.

Stevenson was only a freshman last year. Stevenson showed flashes of potential and will prove a lot of ppl wrong.

I think Gillispie showed how much he loved the fan support. The team chemistry was terriffic. Joe Crawford will be on another level this year. I have always liked Crawford and with Gillispie's coaching ability, Crawford will be in the NBA. Coury and Williams showed how hard they have worked in the off season.

I have heard great things about Dustin May. What is his height/weight/speed? Any chance he will play D1?

Aaron Boyd and John Cole should be the front runners as of now. E.J Fields is also making some noise.

I believe Ashland will win easily.

I think Miller is afraid Liggins will cut into his PT. I am not sure how CBC will use Liggins, but he could be a nasty wing.

I think Darius would feel more comfortable at UK. CBC could really help develop Miller's game. I don't think he will benefit much playing for Weber.
