Well, for one Claussen is only a junior. I'm sure class makes no difference in the award. Tebow absolutely re-wrote the Florida record books, and three with all of the media attention that he has received throughout his college recruitment.
In high school when running the spread and no huddle offense, the absolute key player is the QB. Look at Lexington Catholic for example. Over the past 4 or 5 years they have had success with their offense because of their QB's.
You could make a case for Scott Co. to make some noise like they did in '04. They will have a lot more speed than in previous years. But I don't know if they will be able to get over the hump.
That is awesome that he felt responsible enough to do something like that, but it is even better of his teamates to be there to pick him up and encourage him like that.
After his Notre Dame visit he said that his overall leader was still Kentucky and Georgia and Notre Dame were a close second. I think that he will stay close to home and play for the Wildcats!

I think that SC will get right back into the style of running the ball straight down the gut until they prove they can stop it, but they will throw in some playaction passes and look deep for Rodney Haddix.
I have a cousin that goes to Dunbar, so one of us will be bragging at Thanksgiving! This should be a real good game. I think Scott Co. will pull this one out because they will not make as many mental mistakes as they did the last time they played each other.
I didn't play High School basketball but the best moment I have witnessed was the Saturday morning game at the Sweet Sixteen in'98. "The shot that was heard around the state" Rick Jones hit a half court three to win the game and send Scott Co. to the finals where they beat J.R. Vanhoose and Paintsville.
