6-1 final BW vs Ryle Thursday night

Bushman done after walking the next batter. 6 1/3, 8 hits, 4 runs, 111 pitches

Brooks Becker with a 2 run double in the 7th. 4-1 with BW still batting.

Conner gets out of a bases loaded jam. 2-1 BW heading into the bottom of 5. Side note, plate ump is bad.

They are but a lot of solid contact right at people. An error by each team is what led to both runs.

2-1 ball game heading into the 7th. The rain picked up and Dixie’s pitcher struggled with footing and control, and Ryle tacked on 3. Bottom 7, Ryle pulled their starter after a walk and HBP as he was struggling too. Ryle reliever came in and was actually the first pitcher to slip and fall in his delivery. He settled in and got Dixie out to end the game.

Absolute downpour. Pitchers can’t get footing or grip on the ball. This isn’t baseball weather.

This is just stupid.

Dixie is another 1 seed. They defeated St Henry in the rain tonight down at Meinken.

I think that gap will likely continue to grow too. Dixie will have their cycle of athletes like they always do, but from a sheer numbers standpoint, Ryle will continue to dwarf Dixie. This past season, the Union Raiders had more kids on their 4th or 5th grade team than Dixie Youth had in their entire program, and the Spartans' numbers are low with many of those kids coming from Ft. Mitchell and going to Beechwood.

That site started with St. Elizabeth being thought to develop it for medical offices, to the school district trying to claim eminent domain, to finally a mixed use development. I noticed a small retain building for 2 or 3 shops is currently up along 27. I never did hear what exactly was going in there.

I was told by an SK parent tonight that the other 3 lights will need to be taken down as they have cracks in I assume the foundation. The football and baseball fields are closed, and I would assume the softball field, until the lights can be taken down.

I've seen talks about this too. My first thought was that if the school isn't good enough for your child, why are the athletics? Those that I personally know that have homeschooled kids have done so for 2 different reasons. The one is for athletic reasons. They wanted their child to be able to train more than what a traditional school would allow for. Their training was essentially built into their school day. Both of those situations have their daughters playing division 1 soccer, so I guess it worked for them. However, I know many more that went to your public or private schools and are playing division 1. The other reason is the parents hated the structure of school. They believed their kids should be able to be kids and learn on their own. Schooling would take place sporadically throughout the day. Time will tell how that works out for them.

I remember someone's mom always leaving the football games early to get a table at Friday's before the Friday night football rush got there. The $4 happy hour appetizers that made date night cheap for a high school and college kid. Lol.

I didn't watch the game, just followed along here. No technicals were given, so apparently the 3 officials on the court didn't think they crossed the line. An extra shake is rarely called. Usually extensive hanging or doing a pull up gets called.

As of right now, no. No different than last year. However, they are trying to negotiate with more providers for this year.

It's going to be Torres Mexican Steakhouse as mentioned in the post above. They have another location out on 42 in Union. I haven't heard an opening date yet. The old Taste of Belgium in the mall will be Malone's. Two new restaurants coming to the area.

Only a junior, so he'll be back. They're in good hands with him running the show.

He was open enrolled at Dixie. He came in prior to his Junior year, I believe. After the football season, he left Dixie after not making the basketball team and went back to Lloyd. If I'm not mistaken, because of this transfer, he's going to miss out on track this spring as I think that was his best sport.

There are probably about 10 TANK stops through this section which will just make things worse. Good news is that they've put it on hold since there has been so much push back.

It was a typical Dixie Lloyd game. Both teams move the ball and wait for that layup or open 3. Lloyd may have only had 1 3-pointer the entire game.
