  1. So I guess Russell would pound Bowling Green. I can see a argument for for the top 4 over CCH, but Mercer County? Weren't you the same guy saying Ryle was better than CCH?
  2. Another key for CCH turning into a dominant team was the evolution of Bleser. That playaction fooled the radio guys half a dozen times or so tonight.
  3. Read post #29. Take it to another thread if you want to discuss any further.
  4. Unless the LaSalle, St. X, Moe, or Elder job opens up, I think he will be the Colonel Pilot for awhile. I wouldn't mind 1 title every 2 years.
  5. For me... 1. Trinity 2. CovCath 3. Male 4. St. X 5. Highlands
  6. The biggest difference for CCH from midseason on has to be the o-line. All the credit goes to Haskamp who transcended these boys from a good line to a dominant line.
  7. Congrats to Popham who was able to break the state record for # of FGs in a season tonight.
  8. Agreed. This thread has become laughable, and Murray is being unfairly compared to football players on a different level.
  9. As much as I will be pulling for Ryle because I think it's a great story, common sense tells me Trinity by 4 TDs.
  10. Sounds like Brandon Brown came in on O at the beginning of the 2nd half and did what he has all season when called upon. This kid just does his job. Buckley ran well too. They compliment each other very well as a tandem. Unofficially the radio said CCH had about 450 yards of offense compared to about 300 for JC.
  11. The FB went out I believe about halfway through the 3rd.
  12. I thought 5A. Also, Grimm is only a junior so CCH or HHS might see him again next year.
  13. CCH I believe led NCC 35-7 barely into the 2nd half. They kind of went on cruise control from there.
  14. It doesn't affect a football team as much as a basketball team. In b-ball the students are much closer to the action creating a much more raucous atmosphere. When you throw in the fact it is in a indoor environment, the crowds certainly create havoc for opposing teams. That isn't always necessarily the case on the gridiron.
  15. You're right, JC is right on the verge of beating nationally ranked teams.
