  1. You had better hurry and get to the game then...you are going to be late...lol
  2. That was my intention. :thumb:
  3. Didn't Ashland make a change in their offensive line to start the second half against JC? If that is the case...the line in the second half played much better than in the first half. The QB had a lot more time to get rid of the ball. It makes no difference to me but I would go with the latter.
  4. IMO, that is the main reason JC's program is where it is right now. The talent was there even during those three seasons in which JC posted about 4 wins. The change was immediate when Matney got there. Humphries was a horrible hire after Musick left. I do believe, however, that things may have been a little different with Bill Tom Ross had he not suffered his stroke. JC is rolling right now and BC will be back. I have seen great improvement from the Lions this season. Despite the score, I though BC gave Johnson Central the best game all season. Good Luck Friday Night!
  5. C'mon now. We know you ain't disrespectin us. You is spot on. All of ussens lives in the hills. There ain't a single one of us that live anywheres close to civilization.
  6. Awww shucks, we ain't been hidin'. It just takes us hill people a pert near long time to get out of them there hills. You ain't got no idear how long it takes us backwards folks to find a puter let alone how long it takes to find a puter that can get on that there internet thingy. And when we find one we still have to figer out how to turn the dern thing on. I sure wish we lived up there with those farmers in the thriving metropolis (there's a $5 word fer ye) of greater Ashland and Boyd County. Big city livin' sure would be the life for me. Maybe one of these here days I'll be able to better myself and get out of them there hills. :thumb:
  7. I understand your skepticism. Johnson Central is a program that has had limited (2 or 3 wins) playoff success. However, admitting that I have not seen either Bell County or Rockcastle County play discounting Sports Overtime, I do believe that Johnson Central has to be the favorite to win the region. That may not happen, but with the season they have had, the talent on this team and the coaching staff currently in place that is my opinion.
  8. 1. Johnson Central 2. Paintsville 3. Shelby Valley 4. Pikeville 5. Belfry 6. Phelps 7. Allen Central 8. Betsy Layne 9. Magoffin County 10. South Floyd 11. Prestonsburg 12. Pike Central 13. East Ridge 14. Lawrence Co. 15. Sheldon Clark 16. Piarist 17. David
  9. You mean to tell me that really happened? Wow...I thought that was just a bad dream. :scared: :scared:
  10. Sorry...didn't see the other thread.
  11. Johnson Central dominated the first meeting between these two teams. Will it be a repeat performance or will the Lions build on their strong performance against Ashland and pull the upset? JC 49 BC 14
  12. Gotta have Jim Matney in there at Johnson Central.
  13. If Ashland did scout the JC/Mason game they didn't see much from either side. Just looked like a bunch of hogs wallowing in the mud. Probably the only thing that was discernable was the fact that JC's O-Line is awesome and that Grimm and Johnson are beasts coming out of the backfield. Oh...wait...they already knew that.
  14. Boyd have any timeouts?
  15. I realize that...I was just trying to stir the pot a little and rile up some of the Ashland fans.
  16. Maybe it's a sign of things to come...lol! :sssh:
  17. This is true! However, I see a swagger with this team that I have not seen before...even with the 2000 team. I believe these guys have finally learned how to win. They expect to win every game. With all of the changes that have been made with JC football, from the sound system to the fireworks and cannon, I also believe that teams are now intimidated when they com into The Nest. JC has a great home-field advantage. Success breeds success!
  18. Actually, I believe it was 4-26 of 3 seasons...but who's counting? It's all good now right?
  19. Actually...no I am not sure it wasn't you...lol. He had on a dark blue coaches shirt that said Knights on the right side and it had a name on the left side of the shirt. If that was you...it was nice to meet you...indirectly.
  20. As far as the standing go...does this game really matter? Even if Ashland loses, won't they still own the three-way tiebreaker with Mason and Boyd?
  21. Anyone else notice the Lexington Catholic coach standing behind the west endzone? I thought that was a little strange since the Knights were in Anderson County last night.
