  1. What made you change your mind? You voted for JC in the poll.
  2. I am not so sure that RC has faced a defense as tough as JC's. I don't believe that anyone is expecting JC to roll up 50 points on RC...at least not the rational fans. However, personally I feel that JC is just as good as RC if not better. As for the second bold quote...the answer is no. But JC will be able to move the ball and put points on the board. It's going to be a great game. MAy the best team win. Go Eagles!!!
  3. This game will be all Jumpers. Hazard would have been out in the first round had Paintsville spit the bit. Somerset - A Lot Hazard - Not So Much
  4. Ashland gave Johnson Central one last week...and it was very much needed.
  5. To Whom It May Concern: Please ignore some of our fans. Sincerely, Johnson Central
  6. With less sleep...that will give him that much more time to prepare.
  7. The problem is that you can't take those games away...no more than JC can change who they have played. Taking a look at some of RC's opponents this season, a lot of their schedules have not been that tough...sure their opponents records have been above average...but their oppontnts combined records are not that good. So, what does that mean? To me nothing. The game still has to be played on grass and dirt...not on paper. JC has heard the strength of schedule argument all season long. But if it makes you feel better to beat that poor dead horse again by all means go ahead. This is going to be a great game...one I can't wait to watch. BTW...it won't be a blowout no matter which team wins. Go Eagles!!!
  8. Do you guys think that this game will decide who represents regions 3 and 4 at PJS?
  9. Preach on brother...I'll pass the collection plates!:thumb:
  10. I believe the Ashland game will help JC more than any of their other 11 wins this season. The Golden Eagles finally were forced to face adversity and they met the challenge. As for my prediction, I really don't know. I haven't seen Rock play this season...other than some snippets on Sports Overtime. I will say that I do feel better about Johnson Central's chances after finally being in a game that was very much in doubt late in the contest. I will say... JC 24 Rock 21
  11. Sorry, but I have to call you out on that one. That is just not true. The music always was stopped as teams broke the huddle. I was actually paying attention tonight because of the complaints lodged following the last game. Just think...if Ashland had won the first meeting on Oct. 20 then you would not have had to worry about the return trip last night.
  12. I thought Ashland outplayed JC tonight. I couldn't really tell what the Tomcats were doing on defense to bottle up Grimm like that but my hat goes off to the Ashland coaching staff. Also, JC had no answer for Mahan's passing attack. Sure he missed some receivers (wide open I might add), but I thought he played a great game. He was able to scramble when the pocket collapsed and the 40-yard throw he made off one leg while being tackled was amazing. Tomcats...I salute you! Great effort!! You proved me wrong...I really didn't think you had a shot to hang with JC tonight. You have nothing to hang your heads about.
  13. Actually there is...and I believe it is scheduled to arrive at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium shortly after the clock hits 0:00 in the AAA State Championship game.:thumb: Actually, I agree with you. Ashland's D-Line must find a way to control the line of scrimmage. The Tomcats' O-Line did an excellent job in the secdon half of giving Mahan time to throw the football but they didn't have much success run blocking. I feel that Ashland will have to rely on the pass tonight. If Mahan is throwing strikes and his receivers hold on to the ball (which they had trouble doing last time), this game will be respectable...maybe even close. With that said, I believe JC is just too much for Ashland to handle this season. Good Luck Tonight.
  14. Unless something unexpected happens...I will be there tonight. And, you know nothing unexpected ever happens...:thumb:
  15. Here is a question that may spark additional discussion in this thread. In your opinion, what will be the most interesting aspect of tonight's game? For me, I am wondering how Matt Thomas will respond in tonight's game. He took some viscious shots early in the first meeting between these two teams and, as a result, seemed to be hesitant to hit the holes. He had a tendancy to want to dance in the backfield. For Ashland to have a shot in this game Thomas has to show up with a big game. If he gets nailed early will he be able to overcome that or will he defer to Fields Davis as he did in game one?
  16. Hmmm...anyone else notice that XYIENCE has been conspicuously absent from this discussion? Makes you wonder if he adopted a new screen name.
  17. I think there is a difference here. The same logic does not apply to 2006 as it does to 2005...that difference being the difference in the teams. Some of the players that played in the 2005 game are no longer with their respective teams. Therefore, the makeup of each team is different. The players that participated in the October 20 game are the same players that will compete tonight. Good Luck Tonight and have a safe trip to "The Nest."
  18. Correct me if I am wrong...but I believe the players involved in tomorrow night's game have taken part in only two of those games. And, the record stands at 1-1. Also, out of those two games there was only one dominating performance and that belongs to JC to the tune of 35-7. Tell me, how do those other 4 wins have anything to do with this game?
  19. I agree 100%. That was one of the most dominating performance I have ever seen.
  20. I am very tempted to pick Prestonsburg in this game. Why? I am not sure. There is just a feeling that I have that the Blackcats may pull this one out. However, I still believe that Belfry is the better team and will. But it will not be easy. Belfry 21 P-Burg 17
  21. Thanks for the compliment. But I hope to get to attend this one. If something comes up and I don't get to go to the game I will try to keep everyone updated on BGP.
  22. I thought it said... ...some people call me the space cowboy, some call me the gangster of love...
