I honestly can't blame her. Anyone who's actually kept tabs of the stadium the past 10 years has seen some incredible renovations and improvements as part of Eagle Scout projects, booster club plans, etc. The Stadium has improved 1000% with all the efforts that have been put forth. The lights are only going to be part of it. I'm proud of all that's been accomplished at Manual Stadium.

I don't remember the exact details, but I know it was all about money. It is no shock to me that they're just getting around to it (but I never thought the lights were as bad as many have stated - not being a homer, either, I honestly never thought they were a problem until after reading comments from other posters so long ago).

The subtext being that Manual is in fact LACKING in excellence of education because of it's lack of tuition? :ohbrother: Nevermind... too much potential for threadjacking. I don't think the economic crisis has hurt the Jefferson County private sector so much, but I can't speak for NKY.

Manual is being compared to Boone County a lot... interesting, to say the least.

I don't care if Bob Redman wants the series to end, there's no football alumnus on the planet that would let it happen.:lol:

So Manual's schedule, assuming they keep Central on the schedule, next season will look something like this: Central Trinity Highlands Colerain PLUS the District meatgrinder including St. X and Male? Are all of these teams confirmed?

Isn't Trinity back on Manual's schedule, too, next year? (I really hope so) I like to see Manual with a killer schedule. It can only make them better.

...except we're talking about Northern Kentucky, not Southern Ohio. I agree that Northern Kentucky is more well rounded in their football quality, but the BEST football teams in Kentucky are St. X and Trinity, and 6A in general is dominated by Louisville.

Louisville has the best football teams, but it also has some of the worst teams in the lower classes.

That is an awesome pic! Both teams and fans should be proud.

Basketball is a very different than football in this regard. One player can make all the difference on a basketball team. I do think that the enrollment certainly helps (more players, more competition, higher level of output by players from practice to practice, etc), but I certainly don't see it as the primary factor.

The two best teams in 6A - This reminds me a lot of the season two or three years ago where X was running the table, but Trinity won in the championship game. I doubt Trinity knocks off the Tigers this year, but I doubted it then, too.

I REALLY wish Manual could have scored. I haven't seen St. X play this year (last night was my bro's wedding), but they have to be insanely beastly. Take away St. X and Manual has 110 fewer points scored against them, and has a much higher offensive scoring average. Ballard is the only other team to beat Manual, and that was after Manual had already beaten them in round 1. Embarrassing ending to what really wasn't a bad season at all, considering the huge coaching staff change.

I just hope Manual keeps it significantly closer than round one. ...No, I hope Manual wins. But I can't really expect that, so I'll be happy with a few more TD's by Manual and a few less by X.
