Panthers come back from a 10 point deficit with less than 5 minutes to play to get the OT win. Panthers have to be tired. They laid it all on the line last night in an OT win over Gallatin County and then go into OT again 18 hours later. They play a tough Spencer County team on Sunday. Go to bed early guys.:ylsuper:

Maybe it wasn't, I don't know. It just seems that Gallatin gets away with pretty much mugging the ball handlers in their press. They look like fire ants attacking a dead animal. So much contact is made and they very rarely get whistled for it. And when they do get a foul called Jones can't beleive it. It's intimidating to the officials and he usually gets a make-up call shortly thereafter. That's my take on it anyway.

In OT. Great game. Yager hit a three at the end of regulation to send it into OT. Carroll led probably 90% of the game, 31-18 at the half. Gallatin kept chipping away and finally took the lead with less than 3 minutes to go before Carroll battled back and held on in OT. Coldiron, who is regularly called the best official in the 8th region, IMHO has lost it. He was terrible, as were his partners, tonight. He seems to be in Jon Jones back pocket.

^ I aggree. Great game for the fans. Carroll's leadership showed in the OT's. Although Carroll did not shoot well for the night, they did hit some big shots (3's by Henderson, Curry and Osborne in the overtime periods come to mind). Good job ladies. Play well in your tourney this weekend.:thumb:

I'm not saying that the cost to the families isn't great. The point is a private school has the advantage of being able to get kids from practically anywhere whereas the public schools are restricted to their respective districts. What kid wouldn't take the opportunity to attend a school that has a better than average chance of winning a state championship if offered to them and they could afford it. Its a fact we have to live with but please at least acknowledge this when you start your bragging. Its an unfair advantage, point blank.

Where does all this barking pride come from when you are allowed to pick and choose your players? I am not a fan of Trinity or Highlands but I think Highlands accomplishments far outweigh that of Trinity. If Trinity was restricted to those kids who live in St. Matthews alone would they have 19 titles? I doubt it. Not a knock on the Rocks success. It is amazing. But this complete lack of sportsmanship, especially in the first post of the first thread, is rediculous and uncalled for. Like someone said, it's a slap in the face of the teams who won the other 5 championships.
