Carroll County 48 Gallatin County 44 (2OT)

Good Match-up in Carroll between the scrappy Panthers and the tough Wildcats from Gallatin. Carroll did not shoot well but pulled out the victory. These 2 teams matched up well and it was a great game to watch.

^ I aggree. Great game for the fans. Carroll's leadership showed in the OT's. Although Carroll did not shoot well for the night, they did hit some big shots (3's by Henderson, Curry and Osborne in the overtime periods come to mind). Good job ladies. Play well in your tourney this weekend.:thumb:

Any statistics?

Nice win CC

Congrats to the Lady Panthers. The "All A" is wide open.

Hmmm.....Where have i heard this before?:D

I think GC was out coached last night

????????? These teams are very evenly matched. I don't know where you are coming from B-man.

I would agree. Only minor things have to change for this outcome to go the other way.

The coach has very little control over foul trouble to key players, and she certainly has no control over injuries. Is it hard to imagine that if Jones is 100% healthy, that she contributes just 1 more point in regulation? If so, then Gallatin wins the game and we're not having this conversation.

I think this was a case of two fairly, evenly-matched opponents, who are neighboring arch-rivals going to battle. To say that Carroll wasn't expecting to be able to compete in this one...especially at home...is a little far-fetched.

Figure this out.

Carroll loses at Owen in OT. Carroll wins against Gallatin at home in double OT.

Gallatin beats Henry on the road. Henry beats Owen at home. All 4 district teams are 1 and 1 after 2 district seed games.

And if Henderson's ankle was healthy this may have been a much wider margin.

LOl. Injuries happen to everyone and are part of the game. Hindsight is better than foresight and I'm sure the staff would of redone some little things. Players and coaches have off nights but the good ones learn from mistakes. Coaches get too much credit and blame all at the same time. I heard it was a great game and the district and all a is wide oen.
