I know that....I meant that David was an automatic bye for anybody that played them...

I wouldnt press but I'd keep scoring with my backups...I wouldn't just stop scoring or playing defense because the other team is horrible...I don't know why people are so mad about this game..You never tell your players not to play defense so the fact that David only had 6 points shows how awful they really are...And if you knew a couple of the David players stances on this you'd know they don't care to lose this bad...All one guy cares about is how many times he can shoot the ball in one game.... And of course I'd destroy a team to win a tiebreaker..That's an automatic bid to the regional tournament if you get the 1 seed in the 59th....With that you get a chance to win region....

Why feel sorry for them and just roll over and play dead? Show them how basketball is played and thump em' good....David School has lost to Piarist 4 times this year..That's how bad this team is.... Also, would Shelby Valley winning by 85 have anything to do with seeding purposes? Say if Shelby Valley and East Ridge tie in the 59th district and have beaten each other by the same amount of points, wouldn't the team that has beaten the other teams the worse get the #1 seed to play David in the 1st round and pretty much automatically make it to the regional tournament? If that's the case, and points is a tiebreaker then I see no reason not to beat this team by 100 points...

They didn't want to schedule David, they had to because of District seeding...I still say David shouldn't have jumped in to KHSAA competition so quickly...

Wasn't Jimmy Tackett the coach who ran the program in the ground before Wright took over?

Heard last week that he resigned....I know a couple of guys that played for him and they really enjoyed it...Won the only district title the school will see for about another 25 years.... I figured they might get somebody better in to take his place, but I just heard they hired David Osborne as the new Coach, and if that's true that just shows that the SV administration doesn't care about baseball at all to hire David Osborne as their coach... Good luck to the boys at Shelby Valley..You'll need it with Osborne behind the helm...

Just got some inside info. that an out of state coach is being considered pretty seriously for the job...I'd rather not mention who, but don't be surprised when it happens

1 and 2 are Pikeville and Belfry, but I wouldnt put East Ridge any higher than Pike Central and Shelby Valley, and then Phelps isn't far behind them. East Ridge isn't above anybody if you ask me...

He worked on that last year towards the end of the year and had a much more fluid delivery. And trust me when I say that firebird knows 15th region baseball as good as anybody in Eastern Kentucky so when he says Patrick Smith is one of the best then it's true. Plus the improvement shown last season after coming back from the injury was so significant that it was really good to watch.(Especially in the last game VS. East Ridge..Pitched an amazing game)

He is a little fragile because of the injuries but when healthy, he is without a doubt one of the best in the region especially as a pitcher. His hitting and fielding needs work but he does a great job of mixing up pitches and keeping hitters off balance. Especially when he came back last year from his injury. He has good velocity on his fastball, and a pretty sick breaking ball, and a great change up.

I'd like to see PIkeville compete, but I it won't happen. Somerset - 42 Pikeville - 17

Who couln't have won 4 region titles in the last 7 years at Pikeville? With the talent he's been handed he should have won it all 7 years...Anybody could do what Lawson is doing at Pikeville because the senior league/ little league programs there are the best I've seen and those people that run it get no credit..It all goes to Lawson, which is a shame...I do think it's good you give some credit to the parents..You're the 1st person I've seen do it yet...
