  1. Heard that Portwood was likely going to Union College in Barbourville. Last I heard schools like Centre, Transy, and Asbury were hard after Birchfield and Royse. I have no info on Jordan Lee, Jordan Adams, Cam Hundley, or Adrian Givens.
  2. And subsequently tore it down in his years after high school...
  3. I played basketball and baseball in addition to golf, but I wasn't as good as I could have been, or as good as I am now at golf in high school. Basketball would seem to be the one that would take the least away from golf. Knew a few guys that played both golf and football in high school. I would think Tennis would be something a few golfers play, but didn't go to school with any.
  4. VanHoose was more than solid at Marshall. He came out being one of Marshall's best to play there. I know it aint the SEC, but if he could do what he did at Marshall, I have no doubt he would have put up better numbers than Bender put up. VanHoose didn't have a motor? No heart? Are we talking about the same person? Check this stuff out. You don't get this from no motor or heart. http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/jr-vanhoose Season GP MPG PPG FG% APG RPG BPG SPG 2001-2002 30 34.6 15.0 51.5 1.7 10.6 0.6 1.1 2000-2001 27 34.6 16.6 57.8 1.3 11.1 0.8 0.5 1999-2000 29 34.1 17.5 56.7 1.4 8.6 0.8 0.9 1998-1999 27 28.0 14.7 59.1 1.0 8.1 0.4 0.9 Career 113 32.9 16.0 55.9 1.4 9.6 0.7 0.9 And this. http://www.nba.com/dleague/players/jr_vanhoose.html
  5. Who would have thought? It can really be a toss up between those 3 great players.
  6. Think about the difference in the size of the schools though. SL may hold their own, but they should be able to just run away with everything.
  7. They said they lived together in Ashland. I dont know if that was true or not but don't believe so.
  8. I never said it had nothing to do with it, but you alluded to it that the job had nothing to do with Euton's move. His is the most legitimate move if you ask me.
  9. I know the company as a whole didnt shut down. The office in Ashland shut down. Anything else you'd like to try to get me on?:sssh:
  10. I had never heard they lived together.
  11. I had heard there was a chance he enrolled Friday afternoon, but that it was likely he was not enrolled yet. Thanks for the info.
  12. You mean Euton's dad didnt lose his job in Ashland? The company didn't really shut down? Wow, you have all the answers. What an elaborate lie...
  13. Thought they went up North this weekend for an AAU tournament or something?
  14. Maybe so. Word I got was he may be around this week, but that he had not been at open gym.
  15. Are the Mason Co. faithful getting a little scared?
  16. I heard that Euton has not been seen in Scott Co. yet. How can he be at open gym?
  17. Even so, you know the kids from Catholic were playing him hard, and when he wanted to get by them, he did. It isn't great D being played in this games, but it isnt just nothing being done either. I'm not kidding when I say the kid played harder in the Hoops Summit and wouldnt be surprised if he did it here as well.
  18. I'm not doubting the kid can shoot. How is the kid athletically? My thinking is that he has 3 or 4 kids in front of him that are potentially future D1 basketball players in Jackson, Guyn, Manning, and Ivey (I have not seen Ivey but have heard rave reviews on the kid). From my understanding Ivey is quite the shooter himself, Guyn has come a long way with his shot, and when Manning gets the ball out of his face and over his head he will be a good one, and those kids will probably bring a lot more to the table in their overall game than Flannery from what I am hearing. Also, don't forget Aaron Ford who has been in the system for 3 years already and that is 5 guys that will be hard to take time from on the perimeter. I'm sure if the kid is as good a shooter as I'm hearing, he can play some. However, what are the odds he plays more than 8 minutes on a squad with these type of athletes and players.
  19. Things do sound kind of funny. I'm sure the kids must like playing together if they are willing to do this. I dont really understand the move for this kid because SC is so stacked though. He isn't going to play a whole lot. Maybe the kid just wants to win a title. Who knows? Maybe the father needing to move thing is legit. It's really hard to say.
  20. Someone mentioned Ellison's kid on here a while back and I checked into things and there is no evidence of this move possibly occurring that I have come across.
  21. If Flannery is on their AAU team, then they all play with Gelawn Guyn of Scott Co. What AAU team are these kids on? Who is the coach? Where is the coach located? Is this Flannery kid a soph-to-be or a junior-to-be? How big? What position? etc.
  22. A lack of quality bigs could hurt the Kentucky team. And no way Henderson plays PG over Mack or Edmondson if he is on the floor with them at the same time. The handle just isnt there.
  23. At least a different Mr. Basketball.
  24. I'm not familiar with this kid. What type of player is he? What does his dad do in Richmond and EKY?
  25. Completely disagree. I have no idea what would make a person think this.
