Did he come out late? Obviously it was later than some because of basketball, but I heard from someone in Bell Co. that he wasnt going to play this year.

I heard Zachery wasnt playing baseball this year.

They are all sophomores this year, or juniors-to-be in basketball terms. They have Phares, Guyn, Jackson, and obviously Euton all have D1 looks right now. I'm going to come out right now and say Manning likely ends up a D1 player, and from what I hear Ivey could very well end up at that level as well.

None of them? Manning could very well start this year as a freshman. Ivey will almost assuredly get playing time. I would look for Josh Walls to play a lot of varsity next year backing up Jackson after Aaron Ford graduates. There is apparently some talent in this class of incoming Freshman, so I would look for them to play way before their senior year. You act as if SC got a roster full of transfers.

Several state teams have been ranked from Ky. over the years, and with a lot less talent. Just teams that come to mind right now are SC last year and the 99 team, a couple of Mason Co. squads, Catholic a few years ago with the "Big 3", Ballard back when Bender was there. I'm sure there have been more.

There is already a thread on that. And I think it is very possible with the talent SC will have next year.

Not sure if Lee does track or not. What would his events be? He doesn't seem like that great of a leaper and not that fast either.

I think the only year that easily the most talented player was not chosen for Mr. Basketball was when Walt Allen won it. However, he was a vital cog to a championship caliber team. As was stated, character is a big part of being considered a good basketball player. Your bias for Bender is what is a joke.

Bender wasn't over hyped? He never amounted to anything. I dont know who ever hyped Allen or Stockton as being a great player either. Carrier was hyped as a great shooter, but never really more than that. VanHoose had a great college career, almost averaging a double double. Rick Jones played well what little he played because he couldnt keep his nose clean and Neltner has been a solid SEC player in his career.

Hard to get attention when you are never going to be eligible for college. I'd like to hear a little back up on this kid at Iroquois as well.

Why would he walk on at Bellarmine of all places? Do they not give scholarships? I know Bellarmine is pretty expensive.

Curious on your thoughts on my above post since you really believe that VanHoose was that terrible. What did Bender do in college? Could he have done what VanHoose did from day 1? Who did he dominate in college? Come on man...

It would more likely be West than South if you could get your directions right. Other than that, don't let the facts get in the way of malice for a great program. The kids to SC moved. Can the same be said for the JBS kids to KCC?
