I believe that the top 3 teams coming into this year are: 1.Middlesboro 2.Bell Co. 3.South Laurel What does everyone else think about the best teams in the region this year?

Yes, he is a really nice pitcher but I do not believe he is as good as Pittman or Greer. Also, does anyone know who the best catcher will be in the region this year?

Everyone always talks about the best pitchers and infielders. Who are some of the best outfielders in the region...Any really good speed or arms out there?

The best two pitchers and probably players overall this year will be Brett Pittman from Middlesboro and Spencer Greer from Bell Co.

I'm not really for sure about the date on this one but I recently learned that Middlesboro will be traveling to Lex Cath for a scrimmage.

Middlesboro has traveled to St. Augustine Fla. every year for the last 25-30 years. Coach Powell has family that lives there and he began relationships with some of the coaches down there and they have been going back every year. There is also a team from New York that makes the trip to St. Augustine as well and Middlesboro plays them every year. It is a geat opportunity for the team to gain chemistry and become a better team.

I recently heard tha Shantey Zackary isnt going to play baseball or basketball. If so that is a heavy blow to the baseball and basketball team. Is this true? He and Spencer Gree were the whole foundation of that team this year for baseball. (Not sure on he spelling)

What about week 3? D you see all six wiining in the third round as well? I know that there can be some really interesting games such as M'boro vs. Corbin. Last time they played it was a slugfest in which Corbin won 14-7

Yeah it should be a definite win but if the hounds are looking forward to a possible game with Middlesboro, it just might be closer than most think.

I agree with oneijoe. Yeah, Prestonsburg did beat Breathitt and Breathitt beat Harlan Co. and Harlan Co. beat M'boro but P'burg only beat Shelby Valley on a last second prayer while Mboro dominated the game with Shelby Valley winning 35-0.

Do u think Middlesboro will have improved from last year. And what is your take on the rest of the 13th region. I know its very early...

Does anyone know anything about this game? I heard Partin did really well and that Middlesboro picked up someone new.

Sorry, my mistake in the lineup is what i ment. Pittman is a very smooth infielder who has the arm to make plays in the hole behind 3rd and the quickness to get the balls up the middle. He also has some pop to his bat he is a big run producer with people in scoring position, he is a very good 3 or 4 guy. Partin also is very strong defensively and has a good arm. Though he has been struggling this year at the plate he has 14 to 16 stolen bases all to himself. But once he gets going hes one of the best 1 or 2 guy in your lineup in the region.

How can you not have Pittman or Partin from M'boro on there somewhere.

My all-star team would have to be, P-Jacob Scalf or Brett Pittman C-Mark Comparoni 1st- ?? 2nd-Shante Zackary SS-Brett Pittman or Spencer Greer 3rd-?? LF-Eddie Gilbert CF-Jake Partin RF-Chase Ely or Matt Cox DH-Daniel Crawford I dont really have 1st and 3rd figured out yet and im still working on a lineup just wanting to know what every one else thinks.
