I agree something has to be done. The first round scores this week have been a lot like my ex-girlfriend,UGLY.

Let's just say that Corbin could have scored many, many more points and there was plenty of playing time for the Redhound substitutes. But, the Cougars of Morgan County never gave up and played hard the whole game. A real accomplishment when they only dressed 18 players.

I sure these scores are as close as they were becasue a lot of caoches kept their teams from playing all out.

Watkins didn't dress. 1st team O & D played mainly 1st quarter. First play was a 50 yard td pass. Campbell had 1 carry on 4th and 11 that went for about a 40 yard td. Had the feeling that Campbell could have scored every time he touched the ball. I believe that was the only running play for the 1st team.

 

2 punt return tds.

And they call this the playoffs.

At least EVERY PLAYER dressed got quite a lot of action tonight.. The freshman probably got more action than the 1st and 2nd team varsity.

 

Also good job by special teams all season. I think Campbell had 3 touchbacks tonight, one to the back of the end zone.

I disagree, this gives some teams an opportunity to pull an upset and it also gives some younger kids, and some seniors who don't play much an opportunity to play.

 

Basketball and baseball playoffs are the same way, so why shouldn't football have a playoff system that creates more games?

I agree also with you, it also gives teams more practice time, which helps the kids develop. If you go to the third round of the playoffs, that is three weeks of extra practice, thus over a 4 year period you get 12 weeks of extra practice, which makes your team better.
