Larry Coker may be out of a job after this season. He has had his problems at the U, but its a big name who has his nose in the recruiting market in Florida. A lot of people would criticize that choice, but I think in a new environment, it could help him.

Well guys, for once I dont know about this one. If I had to guess I would have to go with the "area" since it was a personal surgery. They only way something with the leg or whatever would be personal would be if he did something stupid and hurt himself off the court and didnt want to be questioned about it. As for respecting the privacy, I'm sure we are all respecting it since we arent walking up to him or someone in the program and asking what it was. We are speculating here on a board and sometimes word gets out to those in the area about what it is. I have been able to provide insight before, as has OR, LMB, and LABS. Thats what they were going for, its no reason to jump down someone's throat.

I really hope if Brooks goes that its not Joker. He is still a little ways from being ready I believe. Here's the thing, I see the same kind of situation that we had before. We arent under probation, but its not exactly a highly desirable position. I dont believe that we can fill it the way the fans want it. I dont know who to get.

As for A-Rod moving back to short. I have no doubt that he could do it and would be as good as he has been. It may take him 1/3 of the season or so to get back to true form, but he could do it.

A-Rod to the Cubs, interesting though. I dont really see Alex as a National Leaguer but I suppose it could happen. I could live with parting with A-Rod as a Yankee fan, as long as we get Ramirez and a solid starter or a couple of very promising pitching prospects. This is the kind of deal that may require another team, but how many teams really want to make a deal with the Yanks and the Cubs in a blockbuster.

A lot of comments about what I wrote earlier about the cupboard being/not being bare. We had some nice players, but we lost a couple of our stars from the year before. We didnt have the all-americans on that team and if you remember the team struggled early on that season and there were doubts about what they could do. I dont remember expectations being too high coming into the season with a new coach and a toned down roster.

Exactly. Everybody acts like if you come or dont come you are supporting or not supporting the coach, but what about the kids? Thats who you should be coming for.
