Didnt catch the exact score, but did hear that Lafayette came from behind to win.

First half was close with South leading by 3. South came out and took control of the game in the 3rd leading by 14 at the end of the qtr. The South Laurel lead was as much as 21 in the 4th.

Final score. Walt Allen with 26 for South.

South Laurel's defense is probably as good as or better than anyones in the state......its the selfishness on the offensive end that pops up every now and then that is worrisome to the South Laurel faithful.

Kirk will do fine, the only one that would concern me would be the "King", and I'm not sure he is still officiating. To be honest, I dont even think that the Corbin faithful would want him on the floor either.

Final score from the semi-finals of the Frank Spencer Classic at Wake Forest. South will face Archbishop-Molloy out of New York at 8:30 Thursday in the finals. Very solid win for South over one of the top ranked teams in North Carolina. Glenn is a big and very athletic team starting two 6'7 and two 6'5.

This score is definetley a shocker. Usually if you keep Southwestern in the 50's you win......Was Southwestern's defense that good or was Mason Co. just misfiring that poorly

The local radio said that South was 9-10 from the line in the last 3:30-4:00 of the game, not real sure that is accurate but just what they said. Proffitt was 7-8 and Goodin was 2-2.

There were very few fouls between the two teams in each half and the majority of the Mason Co. fouls came after South took the lead in the 4th and Mason had to foul then hoping for a miss. I would like to know what Mason Co's shooting % was in the first half, they couldn't have missed more than 3-4 shots, and didnt cool down much in the 3rd.

Dont know the score but I do know that GRC won today and by the looks of things will play Mason Co. in the semi-final at North Laurel tomorrow.

Pendleton Co. defeated Miami Senior 81-69 George Rogers Clark defeated Leslie Co. by around 20 Ashland was winning big over Pulaski in the 3rd when I left Elliston Baptist was up by 20 over Tate at the half.

Tate is from Florida and Elliston Baptist is from Memphis. I'm not real sure how good either of them are.

First that I've heard on "All Star" players being picked up. When did this supposedly happen? Maybe Jim has some info on this. I did hear that there was a transfer at the middle school level though.

Maybe Henry Clay was just trying to get payback for the 77-35 drubbing the basketball Cards gave to the Blue Devils this past summer........j/k......Seriously though why would a coach risk an injury to a starter when the game is well in hand and in the 4th qtr. I dont know if I would go as far as saying it was a classless move, just more of not being a smart move.

Paintsville had better move the chains on this possesion or they could be in trouble.
