Glenn is a big and very athletic team starting two 6'7 and two 6'5.

WesVols Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Congrats to South Laurel. Glenn HS was in the City of Palms tourney with Brentwood Academy last weekend and had some success there. Impressive win over a good team.
Just Jim Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Looks like South Laurel won the whole thing. http://www.journalnow.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=WSJ%2FMGArticle%2FWSJ_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1128769008686&path=!sports!prep!&s=1037645509502
themansnowyriver Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 People in the 13th, especially Clay and others need to wake up about how tough South is. Teams like Clay, Bell and Corbin having trouble with Jackson, Cawood and Perry Central when South is beating Arch Bishop Malloy of New York. That ought to tell us something about if anybody can beat SL from the region.
KHSB1 Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Its all good what you do in the out of state tournaments to play great competition. It is still different when you come home. In other years maybe but not this year. South rolls in this region. I am sure if you went to the tournament that SL was in you would see what basketball and good coaching means to Ky kids compared to some of your so-called elite high school teams around the country. The state of Ky does not get the good recognition because we do not produce the McDonalds All- Americans. I will say you can take Kentuckys top ten teams in any year and they will compete with anyone in the country. Better coached and they play with heart and as a team.
