South Laurel V/S Mason County predictions River City Classic Friday 1/27

Featured Replies

The Cardinals will invade Maysville and the Fieldhouse on Friday nite in game 2 of the River City Classic. This will be the 2nd time this year these 2 teams have faced off with round one going to South in a very good close game in London earlier in the year. The Royals have had a brutal schedule so far playing 4 top 5 teams in the state including #1 twice .Hopefully they finally knock one off here .Im going with Mason in an upset in front of a nearly full house 67-64(hopefully) .I know Souths playing well right but Mason is due with as hard a schedule they have played and this ones at home.I invite eveyone to come to Maysville Friday night for this double header with 3 top 20 teams and maybe the #1 team in South.Should be a full Fieldhouse for this and should be very fun to watch. If you never been to the Fieldhouse on a packed it will be something for you to come and experince like no other.I'll take Highlands in game1 also.

Game 1 #19 Fort Thomas Highlands V/S #20 Lafayette 6:30p.m.

Game 2 #2 South Laurel V/S Mason County 8:00 p.m.

Who all will be here for these games Friday.I'll be there.

If I can get off work I will be there.Should be a great game,Mason is really underrated and one of if not the most athletic teams in KY.Long drive though

It will be a battle because it is at Mason and Mason is a very very good team. Alot of ppl credited SL's win against Mason earlier this season to home cooking. I think SL comes out ready to play and to prove that their win earlier wasnt a fluke or unfair. SL is hot right now and they should be coming off a big win against Corbin. I see SL winning a close one.

Yeah South is really the only team with a long drive as Highlands and Lafeyette are about an hour away. But im sure the Cards fans will travel well and they also play the late game which gives some extra time it probally wont start to closer to 8:30.Hope to see you there and be safe.By the way right up 75 north to Lexington and exit on 68 your and hour to Maysville straight no more turns high school is right off 68.

It wasnt a fluke SL showed there championship poise in pulling it out.

It could be a decent game, but I think the Cards will win by double digits.

I hope you are right...... but after the way Mason played SL in Laurel Co...... and considering the fact that SL barley escaped, and may not have espcaped without getting a few debatable "homer" calls.....not to mention the fact that this game is at Mason Co...... I'm not so sure.

However, SL is hot right now, and Mason isnt playing as good as earlier in the year. SL didnt play very good in the first meeting, and I think if SL will come out fired up ready to prove that the earlier win wasnt due to the refs, then you could be right.

Much as I hate to go against the Royals, they haven't played very well since the Pendleton County game. Scott County and Catholic contested every pass, dribble, in-bounds play and shot, wearing down Mason's starters in the second quarter (Mason's bench is very thin).

Cards 78

Royals 66

As to the question "who will be there?"; I might miss one game per year. I'll be there.

CARDS 84

ROYALS 74

I don't think South plays defense as well as SC and LexCath. I'll go with Mason in a squeaker.

What evidence do you base this on?

Are you serious? :creepy:

If you don't think south plays defense better than Scott and Company just call North College Hill. What a comment.
