Just curious how your rankings would look.

Not offensive at all. We call ourselves Cake Eaters. Proud Cake Eater here. It stems back to the 30's or maybe 40's . I believe it started with a rival with Newport KY. I think it was use to motivate players from Newport to beat Highlands. It was in the context that Highlands wasn't tough enough and didn't have a hard road to go. I'll check that and get back with ya. Heck, if you think about it, to this day for some weird reason alot of the rest of the state believes that Fort Thomas is just overflowing with money. Hence they are Cake eaters instead of bread. If you have ever visited the facilities you would realize how far from extravigant Highlands is.

I did not see much of the game if any acutally, but I did see Sheehan make a beautiful catch at the beginning of the second half. Nice game . Sure both teams will improve greatly. Sorry I missed the BGP tailgate. Found a parking spot but could not find the tailgate.:idunno: Lots of tents, just not BGP tents. Great to see the Centre football team arrive but totally PO'd that they stood right in front of me and I could not see a fricking play.:irked: Looking forward to seeing a tape of the game to see what I missed. All in all , great trip to Danville and look forward to the Rebels coming to "The Fort".

Yea, I understand. Certainly don't want to park anywhere where we might get in the way also. Our ETA as of now is around 5:30. We usually like to park out of the way. Just thought that if your tailgate was situated in a way that the buses could be fairly close it may be fun. Either way , we will be stopping in to see everyone.:thumb:

Rebel, would we be able to park two buses close to your tailgate? I know the bus people are bringing tailgate stuff also and maybe it could be one big long tailgate.

I think all those teams deserve to be there at the beginning of the year. What matters is who's there at the end of the year.

That was really cool. Very professional. Those kids that did this have a bright future ahead of them.

Eddie's is good. Nice atmosphere. Would like to be there sometime when the band starts playing and the crowd gets going. I seem to be moving into the early crowd. Before you know it, I'll be in the 4:30 dinner crowd.

A tip to all the Highlands fans traveling to Danville; gas up before you come home. Gas is about 30 cents/gal. cheaper in Danville.:thumb:

OK, so your saying pull in were the middle school is. You will be tailgating behing the West endzone. So are you saying pull past there and park in that big log between the Middle school and the High School? Is pulling in that road next to the middle school drop off the best way to enter if we get there semi early? Also, what is considered early? I know 20 questions. I was in Danville yesterday and had planned on casing out the parking lot. However , huge storm came along and I just wanted to get the heck home. I think the Boyle Gods had something to do with that storm. Also, where do they park the team buses?

I see what you are saying and agree, however, if you support NCC all you have to say is they won state without playing Highlands.:idunno:

Where will the tailgate be. I was looking at an overview of the parking lot and was wondering the best way to park and such. Would it be better to come in off of 127 to enter the parking lot ? Are there areas that we should not park that are reserved on game day?

It's a scrimmage and hopefully Simon will benefit greatly from it. Will they win 6A? NO. But maybe it will benefit them enough to take them far in the playoffs. Then again, maybe not.
