  1. And any pee-wee football talk will certainly make any discussion stronger.
  2. I don't know enough about Madison Central to doubt your opinion, but if they're deeper OR more talented than Scott County then they are loaded for bear. Can you give me a little breakdown of their key players? Thanks.:thumb:
  3. What about Bovard from CovCath, his numbers are good against very good competition.
  4. :thumb: Couldn't agree more, if I'd have posted it myself. In fact, I have said similar things regarding Dixie and AAAA in general.
  5. How so? They lose a ton on the offensive line, and the kid that returns all the kicks and punts. And the kid that runs for most of the yards, and catches all the passes.
  6. I agree. I'm not sure what he said that could have been taken offensively, he was joking with his broadcast partner.
  7. I don't think this has anything to do with the ACLU. More likely, it's a PC thing, though I can't figure out what he said that struck a chord.
  8. And all this means what regarding the game???
  9. Gotta think Newport is a winnable game though, and then they're locked in to the two spot, correct?
  10. Thanks, I guess Lloyd needs to pull a big upset or beat Newport to avoid the four seed?
  11. They'll finish 6-4, but have no shot at the playoffs. What makes anyone think the Panthers ever had a mighty program though? They've had a couple of nice teams, but a mighty program, not by a longshot.
  12. Yes, Spencer did beat Newport last week. On to new business, and let's play "what if" a bit. Let's assume Mercer County beats Lloyd and gets the one seed, then a week later the Juggs fall to Newport. This leaves Lloyd, Spencer, and Newport locked in a three way tie for the two, three and four spots. Who has the quality win that gets them the home field advantage (the two spot in the district).
  13. Or ICN could actually secure the correct scores from the area rather than believe a crank caller.
  14. In district play, the Pioneers are giving up 40 points a game.
  15. All due respect intended. But, nobody has played, as the favorite, in a game this one sided on paper in football and lost. I liked what you said about Grant. But, sometimes games are just going to be lopsided. This is one of those times.
  16. Not questing your info at all, but didn't Mackey verbal to UK this summer?
  17. Not a chance Florida goes through the SEC unbeaten. A better, but still slim chance Michigan beats Ohio State.
  18.  Beat me to it. Whatever IT is, Beechwood almost always carries the cure. They tend to knock the IT right out of them.
  19. Who thought Bermuda grass was a good idea in our climate? There's a reason it's named after Bermuda. Had disaster written all over from the word go, someone should have seen that and saved the school many thousands of dollars. The Lions have used the field forever, as have the JV and freshman teams, and the field used to hold up pretty well.
  20. Of course the SEC is the best football conference in the country. Florida, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, have all been in the top 10 this year, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe UT not yet, but they're in the top 12. Someone name another conference with five schools in the top 12.
  21. You really don't want to hang your hat on posts like this. NIU has a Heisman "threat", yeah man. UC struggled with the worst Miami team in like a 100 years, at home.
  22. Not sure how you figure this. Henry County and North Oldham do not fact in, which leaves Mercer, Spencer, Lloyd, and Newport as the playoff teams by default.
  23. The field's in bad shape?::confused: Didn't the school spend a lot of money on bermuda grass just a few years ago to upgrade the field?
  24. What are Massey Ratings? If it's anything like the Cantrell mess, thanks but no thanks. Again, I never said Watterson was bad, just pointed out the facts. They beat DeSales in a close game. IMO two good football teams playing what was probably a fun game to watch. I don't think any of that makes the Colonels loss to Watterson look any better in respect to where they want to get.
