I don't know enough about Madison Central to doubt your opinion, but if they're deeper OR more talented than Scott County then they are loaded for bear.
Can you give me a little breakdown of their key players? Thanks.:thumb:
How so? They lose a ton on the offensive line, and the kid that returns all the kicks and punts. And the kid that runs for most of the yards, and catches all the passes.
They'll finish 6-4, but have no shot at the playoffs.
What makes anyone think the Panthers ever had a mighty program though? They've had a couple of nice teams, but a mighty program, not by a longshot.
Yes, Spencer did beat Newport last week.
On to new business, and let's play "what if" a bit. Let's assume Mercer County beats Lloyd and gets the one seed, then a week later the Juggs fall to Newport. This leaves Lloyd, Spencer, and Newport locked in a three way tie for the two, three and four spots. Who has the quality win that gets them the home field advantage (the two spot in the district).
All due respect intended. But, nobody has played, as the favorite, in a game this one sided on paper in football and lost.
I liked what you said about Grant. But, sometimes games are just going to be lopsided. This is one of those times.
Who thought Bermuda grass was a good idea in our climate? There's a reason it's named after Bermuda. Had disaster written all over from the word go, someone should have seen that and saved the school many thousands of dollars.
The Lions have used the field forever, as have the JV and freshman teams, and the field used to hold up pretty well.
Of course the SEC is the best football conference in the country. Florida, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, have all been in the top 10 this year, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe UT not yet, but they're in the top 12. Someone name another conference with five schools in the top 12.
You really don't want to hang your hat on posts like this. NIU has a Heisman "threat", yeah man. UC struggled with the worst Miami team in like a 100 years, at home.
Not sure how you figure this. Henry County and North Oldham do not fact in, which leaves Mercer, Spencer, Lloyd, and Newport as the playoff teams by default.
What are Massey Ratings? If it's anything like the Cantrell mess, thanks but no thanks.
Again, I never said Watterson was bad, just pointed out the facts. They beat DeSales in a close game. IMO two good football teams playing what was probably a fun game to watch.
I don't think any of that makes the Colonels loss to Watterson look any better in respect to where they want to get.
