Well, since you've let the cat out of the bag, :eek:that is the name I heard yesterday. But, I had not heard that he had accepted the job.

I'd prefer not to release the name because I don't even know that he has been contacted yet.

There have been several twists and turns on this selection. I've heard today that the committee has voted on the coach they want to offer the job. As I understand, the committee was given full authority to make the choice, bypassing Principal Salisbury and the Site-Based-Counsel. :popcorn: I don't have any word on if the formal offer has been received or accepted. However, some people may be shocked by the selection, including the Ol Duckster.:confused:

Coach Cooksey appears to be the choice. Although, Jim Bob is fishing buddies with Phil Pratt, who is on the search committee. Rhonda Salisbury is still the principal and she is a friend of Phil's. Greenup County has a new principal in Jim Dunaway. I truely believe that he will not be pushed around and will make an informed decision. I see 0% chance of Fraley being rehired.:eek:

That was the last count I heard as well. There may still be more before the deadline. The committee has been formed and will meet soon to possibly whittle the list down by three or more. I believe they will submit a final list to the principal when all is said and done. He does not have to select the top choice he is presented with. The final decision rests with the principal.:popcorn:

The job was just actually posted last week and the posting lasts 30 days. The coach will not be announced until then.:popcorn:

Wing could have had 40 if Terry had not been all over him. Wing is one of the purest shooters I've seen in this region in a good while. He will have an excellent career at Rowan Co.:thumb:

Greenup was able to hang on for the win against an undersized, out maned but scrappy Lewis Co bunch. GC wins the district as predicted and I still say they win at least one in the regional unless they draw the Ashland/Fairview loser. Congrats to the Muskies!:clap:
