  1. Nick has been one of my favorite kids to have had the pleasure to work with. He is a class act and works hard! Thanks for sharing, Mr. Spin! Congrats Nick!:dancingpa
  2. Nope, The Tomcats are a clear favorite this year with Elliott, Rowan and West barking at the door. The brackets will determine a lot. The Devils have to be considered a dark darkhorse along with Lewis Co. That won't keep me from pulling for them along with my Eagles from Fairview.:thumb:
  3. Ashland, Elliott or Rowan with the Tomcats being the favorite. Their team is in top condition and they'll be on a bigger floor. The same three that I picked before the season started. Before the season I also thought Greenup and Lewis could be long shots but the principal's decision took Greenup out of the equation and Lewis has not played up to their abilities. West Carter is a Darkhorse and Lewis a long shot.
  4. Greenup County's remaining schedule::bunny: West Carter should be the only remaining bump in the road. If GC pounded the ball inside and was in good enough shape to play man defense, they shouldn't have a problem with West. However, they won't and they're not. 5. I have posted on this subject in several other threads but the #1 problem starts with coaching. With the athletes that GC has, they should have been the top team this year in the 16th. The principal's companion is the coach's Aunt, thus the hire, despite several much more qualified candidates. The players are not in shape!!! In the second quarter against Ashland, the players were gasping for breath as they were bending over and pulling their shorts. The Tomcats were able to ring up 38 points in the quarter after a 15-13 first quarter. Greenup has by far the easiest schedule this year in the region. :bunny::bunny:So, when they put up a string of wins, people that are not knowledgeable of the situation might think that the coach didn't do too bad.:eyeonyou: Dunaway:walk:
  6. Greenup came back down to earth @ Ashland last night. The Tomcats could have laid a hundred on them had they chosen. However, the Muskies schedule is soft :bunny:and they will win a lot more games. GC has far better athletes. However, they have no guidance or conditioning. The players were all sucking wind in the second quarter bending over to try and catch their breath when Ashland put up 38 points. Dunaway:taz:
  7. If everyone was playing for Lewis Co, this is a good win for the Muskies. Congrats to the Greenup players. Lewis is now 8-8 and should be playing much better at this point in the season. The previous wins on this streak came against the likes of::bunny: Green Co 1-14 Morgan Co 2-12 Raceland 2-12 and Boyd Co 7-7 against a weak schedule
  8. Greenup is now 5-6 but they have an extremely soft four games in a row coming up. Unless I'm mistaken, tonight's game is against 0-9 Green Co. Then comes Morgan Co, Raceland and Boyd County. 10. I didn't see the last game. But, in the two that I saw my statement was correct. They are in a bit of a pickle, wouldn't you say?
  11. By not posting up or running any offense from the two games I've seen..
  12. I said this somewhere else but it is worth repeating. A good win for East after losing one by 48 three days prior. Congrats on the bounce back! With East being down this year, this is a game the Muskies should have dominated.:isurrender: There is a light at the end of the tunnel! The scheduling Gods have been kind to GC this year, especially in Jan-Feb. Even if nothing changes, the Muskies should be able to finish the season 13-2 heading into a probable Texas Death Match with Russell as the 2 and 3 seeds in the district. Greenup should still get to Morehead, so all is not lost.:thumb: Jan 4, 11 Morgan County home 7:30 PM Jan 7, 11 Raceland away 7:30 PM Jan 13, 11 Boyd County home 7:30 PM Jan 14, 11 Lewis County home 7:30 PM Jan 18, 11 Ashland Blazer away 7:30 PM Jan 20, 11 East Carter away 7:30 PM Jan 22, 11 Menifee County away 7:30 PM Jan 25, 11 Fairview away 7:30 PM Jan 28, 11 Russell away 7:30 PM Feb 4, 11 Raceland home 7:30 PM Feb 5, 11 West Carter away 7:30 PM Feb 8, 11 South Point, OH away 7:30 PM Feb 11, 11 Boyd County away 7:30 PM Feb 15, 11 Rose Hill Christian away 7:30 PM Feb 17, 11 Lawrence County home 7:30 PM
  13. True, but you might also get off with a warning.:idunno:
  14. Lewis has one of the best guards in the region in Smith. They also have a very good post player. (Riley, I believe) They are a top 4 or 5 team and there's not a lot of difference between the top 5 this year.
  15. Congrats to Coach Anderson and the Lions. Maze was blocking shots from all angles. Devils were, for some reason, reluctant to pass the ball to Davidson in the post. That has to change. Tyler Parsley was a bright spot off the bench for the Devils. By mid season, he could be a large contributor.
  16. The soldiers are sleeping in holes in the dirt instead of the Taj Mahal and are paid considerably less than Obama's staffers.
  17. On a side note, Jon Vanhoose from Russell had 12 points in 23 minutes of the second half. At one point, Jon pulled Northern to within nine @ 59-50.:thumb: He was 4-7 from 3 point land.
  18. I was at the first three games. He under throws his receivers on a regular basis.
  19. Simply put, Hartline doesn't have the arm strength to throw long. Any completion over 15 yards, the receiver has to come back or make an adjustment for. Good teams know this and have the athletes to cover our receivers and let Hartline throw long all day, should Joker want to attempt it. Otherwise, they will stack up on the run and take away the short pass. Give Mossakowski a shot since he is supposed to have the most accurate arm. Newton has a strong arm but is not accurate.
  20. I like the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 for 4 doors. I bought a Dodge challenger.
