  1. What part of the state is the officiating crew from?
  2. Well yes, but they still scored, and that is exactly what he'll say.
  3. Well my man from SK was right about one thing. Well done sir, I will concede you were right on CC scoring on T.
  4. Considering they will play one or the other next week it would seem prudent.
  5. On the first team or backups you think?
  6. It would be a momentous occasion for SK, first time ever. Will it be on the first team D though? No one has scored in KY on them yet, Jtown did manage it on the back ups though.
  7. Those weren't directed at you in all honesty. I expected a Ryle victory, but I didn't think that this was impossible by any means.
  8. Yep, totally overrated Louisville teams.
  9. Maybe the locks break in the Marshall Center? :lol2:
  10. I mean to be fair, given some of the shellackings we were on the receiving end of from the 50s through to the 2000s I think that what we have had recently has been cathartic for some of us. I remember running into someone after the day after the 2010 game, where we won 48-0, and even though I had known him for years I didn't know he was a member of T's second graduating class. That morning he asked me the Louisville question: "Hey PepRock(real name redacted), where'd you go to school?" To which I replied "Trinity." Him, grinning ear to ear: "That was a beautiful game last night, wasn't it?" Me "Oh yeah!" Him "I have been waiting 50 years for that game!" So yeah, many of us have definitely been looking forward to this portion of it years. Even some of our first grads. :lol2:
  11. So the school is just an attachment to the football team for you, got it.
  12. How is the community brought into it? Well the fact that a large percentage of the community may not be able to make the trip. Come on I know they taught you better than that.
  13. It may not just be one, and the thought of missing any of their children's games would be horrible to many parents. I am just throwing out a possible counterpoint on this. Let's remember we are a school and community before we are a football team.
  14. Or it could turn away parents who can barely make tuition as it is even with financial aid since they would not be able to afford the trip cross country. Not everyone who goes to Trinity has the kind of money where they can just go cross country. Many of us seem to be forgetting that Trinity was a blue collar kind of school for most of its existence, I for one do not want to stray too far from that.
  15. Then I was misinformed, mea culpa.
  16. I should have clarified, no more than a 4 hour bus ride. Flying is not an option. The administration would not be beholden to an alum paying for the trip and they will not put the money into a trip like that. Despite what this forum and many others may believe the football team is secondary to Trinity's primary mission which providing a top level education to students of varying backgrounds and abilities. While we love the football team, it wouldn't exist without the school and the school is what comes first.
  17. I am proud of them winning all that was arrayed against them. This isn't the schedule like the 2011 or 2012 ones, those were tougher teams I think. That said, T's administration has a clear policy regarding distance for games. They won't let the team travel more than 4 hours, even if a well-to-do alum would charter a flight for it. So while I would like to see more teams from beyond the area, the administration says no. Unfortunately J-Town, Seneca most of the local schools are mandated by the KHSAA.
  18. After T I go more or less in this order: Louisville Catholics State Catholics Louisville Publics State Publics Non-Catholic Private Schools To be fair there are some specific exceptions in each category. I have a soft spot for a few programs out there.
  19. I think that the 2011 schedule may have been tougher, but that said this team has proven itself.
  20. Only 2 teams I think have a shot: X and Scott County. Even then it would take an inspired game by either.
  21. I have always respected that.
