Good chance BC goes winless in district play... who would thunk it???

This should be a very good game. GC blew LC out in Lancaster, probably the worse performance by LC withen the 12th region in the last three seasons. GC was the better team in every facet of the game. LC is a different team at home, and have been playing well. They are 11-2 (best record in the region) against 12th region foes. This is the last district game for GC, they clinch the 1 seed with a win. LC needs to win out against Boyle, Danville and Garrard to get the one seed.

Lincoln County wins their fourth game in a row, improving to 13-7 (2-1 district, 11-2 region). Very fun game to watch neither team had more than a 10 point lead. Mercer's length gave LC trouble in the first half. LC made some nice adjustments at the half and controlled the game most of the second half. LC was led in scoring by Ethan Spurlin with 25 pts. Next up for LC is a very important district game with Garrard County. The winner is in the drivers seat for the one seed in the 45th district. Garrard blew LC out of the gym a few weeks ago in Lancaster. Hopefully LC can give the Lions a better game this time around.

Long the 4? You do understand that 4 mean power forward, and 2 means shooting guard.

That was the difference in the game. McCreary didn't have anyone who could stop Spurlin, especially in the paint area. Central doesn't defend the paint well. The Dixon kid looks like a nice athlete.

Garrard and Boyle seemingly always play close games. Tough rebound game, after a tough loss. This should be a good one...

This win runs LC's region record to 10-2. Their only losses in the region were to Danville in a holiday tournament (doesn't count toward distric record) and a blow out loss to Garrard County a couple weeks ago in Lancaster. The Raiders got out to a 5-0 lead, then LC went on an 11-0 run an never looked back. I think Spurlin cemented himself as the best player in the 12th tonight.

Big win for LC. Did a great job of shutting down Shrock. He was held scoreless in the first half. Spurlin did a good job on Watts, however Watts missed a lot of wide open jumpers. MCC had no answer for LC in the paint area. LC is getting hot at the right time.

I am really looking forward to this game. I enjoy getting a chance to see Watts play once a year, I've said the last two years he has been one of the better kept secrets in the state, but many people in central KY haven't seen him play.

Should be a good game, but I think the Lions will be too much for the Ads in Lancaster.

Send him to Stanford, I believe we would be more than happy to have him.:banana:

Wayne seems to have McCreary's number.

This game is a make up game. It was originally supposed to be played last Tuesday, but was postponed due to the ice storm. Should be a great game. Both teams had high hopes to start the year and have been up and down. The game features two of the best players in the 12th region. Aaron Watts and Ethan Spurlin.

Seriously, he has got some looks, unlike the normal D1 rumors that float around. At the end of the day I see him playing at a smaller NAIA school though. You don't believe he can play above that level, you do realize Mike Porter is a D1 scholarship player, right.....:lol:

I don't think he is a shooting guard at any level. However, there are some D1 schools recruiting him. Personally, I think he would have the best chance of being successful at a NAIA school.

He starts at the 5 (out of necessity), but he can handle the ball like a guard. He can play all five spots in high school ball. Probably is truely a 3 man.

Lincoln was led in scoring by Ethan Spurlin with 20 pts. 10 players got in the scoring column.

He should've got that team, with all that talent, to the 12th region tournament the last two years. Watts has been the best, or one of the best players in the region for the past 3 seasons. He alone should be enough to advance in the weak 12th region.

Aside from the head to head, using the data provided by GCHS, LC was obvioulsy better. They had less losses within region and MOST importantly they WON the region. End of story...:isurrender:

There is going to be a lot of key make up games, if this weather doesn't let up. All the area teams are starting to get behind.

Wait a minute, "beat the best to be the best". It is obvious, by playing in Rupp two straight years, that LC has been the best team in the region. Yeah, McCreary won the head to head. VMI beat UK, is VMI a better team? McCreary has won a lot of games against a weak schedule the past few seasons (they've played a better schedule this year-with different results), and have never even made it to the regional tournament. I don't care when they vote on it, you should NEVER be picked as the coach of year, when you have the best player and don't even make the tournament.

He is, in my opinion. He has them playing the best ball in the 12th right now. It will be interesting to see if he stays in Lancaster, and if he will be able to sustain the the success.
