Garrard County got back into the win column in a big way on Friday night, dismantling Boyle County by 21 points in a game that wasn't as close as the score said. They get no easier as the Lions travel to Stanford on Monday night for a makeup district game (this one was postponed on January 9 after a scoreboard malfunction). Garrard can clinch the top seed in the district with a win, while Lincoln can take a huge step toward doing so themselves with a victory. Garrard won the first matchup, 56-37, in Lancaster.

 

The current 45th District standings look like this (keeping in mind that Danville and Boyle play Saturday):

This should be a very good game. GC blew LC out in Lancaster, probably the worse performance by LC withen the 12th region in the last three seasons. GC was the better team in every facet of the game.

 

LC is a different team at home, and have been playing well. They are 11-2 (best record in the region) against 12th region foes. This is the last district game for GC, they clinch the 1 seed with a win. LC needs to win out against Boyle, Danville and Garrard to get the one seed.

This should be a pretty big crowd, considering Garrard won big in Lancaster, and the bigger fact...It's Free!!!

No...

 

For a few reasons. LC normally draws well. They have had some BIG games there over the past few seasons, standing room only. This game isn't on the schedule, because it's a makeup up game and Garrard doesn't travel well.

Well trust me, everyone and their grandma knows about this game. Im very sure that LC will have their faithful and more. This should just be an all around fun atmosphere for the kids to play in.

Don't doubt that a bit. Just don't seeing it being one of the biggest crowds ever. Hope I am wrong, and hope LC can give the Lions a decent game this go around.

The crowd will be large, but nowhere near what it has been for some of the Boyle Co. Lincoln Co. match-ups over the past 2-3 years.

I believe they will. Im sure the Pats are ready to get back at Garrard. But Im sure Garrard is just as anxious to beat the Pats for the first time in a long time "In" Stanford. Should be a good one.

LC hasn't lost a home game this year, and have only lost five home games in the last three years. They are usually very hard to beat at home.
