gchs_uk9 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Just received word that this game will be played on Thursday night. The boys game will begin at 6, with the girls game following. Garrard handled Danville in the opener for most of the game, until the Ads pressure defense picked up and the Lions missed several late free throws. If Danville's defensive pressure is good all game, then they can win. But if Garrard can break down their pressure and shoot the ball fairly well, then the Lions will win. This is a big 45th District game for both teams. The current standings look like this: 1. Garrard County (3-0) 2. Lincoln County (2-1) 3. Danville (1-2) 4. Boyle County (0-3) 5. Kentucky School f/t Deaf Historical Preview: *This marks the 76th meeting between the two schools *Danville leads the all-time series 52-23 *Danville won the first 29 meetings in the series *Since breaking the streak in 1976, the series has been tied *This will be the 28th meeting in Lancaster, with Danville leading 18-9 *Garrard County has won 6 in a row in the series, 8 of the last 10, and 11 of the last 15 *Garrard County's 16 victories are tied for the sixth most in school history *Garrard County's 8 consecutive victories are tied for the second most in school history, trailing only a 9 game winning streak in 1970 *Garrard County's 8 consecutive home wins are also tied for the second most in school history, trailing the 11 consecutive home wins from 1998-2000
LCPATS Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Should be a good game, but I think the Lions will be too much for the Ads in Lancaster.
