They were considered a preseason top five 12th region team, by most accounts, to start the season. They just haven't been able to get it together.

They aren't very good at all. Danville is a scrappy little team.

Yeah, Danville is scrappy. When Taylor is on, they can play with anyone in the region.

I agree, after the last two nights we are not very good. We cannot use the excuse of the 2 week layoff or anything else.We do not play like Boyle teams of the past. We have no confidence and no direction. The only hope we have is that we host the district and that probably wont be enough.

I wanted to add that I wasn't trying to down Boyle in any way. Tonight was the first time I've watched them in person this season and I came away feeling like they are lost on offense. They didn't really seem to have a gameplan. They just kind of worked it around the perimeter and didn't really attack.

We played way better tonight than we did last night though. At times we look good and other times we look like we are in disarray. I think our inability to hit free throws in the 4th quarter was the difference in the game. We were shooting bonus free throws from 1:00 left in the third to the end of the game and we didn't capitalize on that like we should have. This season isn't over, but the future of Boyle County basketball still looks very bright for the next 3 years. For now, I am still looking forward to the next game and hoping that the team that showed up against Shelby County and Marion County and Wayne County shows up again. I still will have hope that the next game is a victory.

BC has had the same problem the last couple of years. Guard play. They don't value the basketball. Way to many turnovers.

I also think we are missing what Christian Williams brought to the table last year. We don't have that threat to shoot it or penetrate it like we have had the last 2 years with Spencer Perrin and Christian Williams. I think that makes a difference also. We have shooters and inside players, but no one who can penetrate and be successful penetrating. With the offense we run, if our guards can get our big men good scoring looks, we tend to get stagnant on offense.

I agre that our guard play has put us behind the eight ball this year.I would have thought that Aumiller would have had a bigger year.He is playing injured but not being consistent has hurt us.

I agree, it's been hard on him playing with the hurt shoulder, but also being singled out by the defense every game has been hard also if he's not getting help offensively from anyone else.

 

My hats off to Danville though. They flat out beat us both games and swept us this year which I know makes the Admiral nation happy. Maybe we will get round 3 in the district tourney. Who knows. I thought this was a great team win for Danville as they got help from everyone tonight, even Max Meckes and big Tevin Raines hitting the 3, Jacody's 3 long bombs in the 3rd, tremendous rebounding by the whole team all night, and they had to have shot higher than 75% from the free throw line, which I know we didn't do, but we hung in there and didn't quit and I am still proud of my Rebels.
