Greg Edwards is the new coach................Will officially be announced Monday

I have been told by a previous coach that the AD is just a figure head with no power and just covers his butt. The problem lies with the principal who tries but has no idea about athletics and as the previous poster suggested caves to the parents. I am very proud of our football program but they(Administrators) have not helped boys or girls coaches in basketball.

Edwards wanted the job when they gave it to Judy Mason and was also not given the boys job when he applied this last time. No positions open for teaching this time may finally land him the job.

I am hearing that it is probably going to be Greg Edwards. He wants it for a couple of years for his retirement. I think he is a decent coach but that really tells you the state of the program. They will be looking yet again for another coach.

Mercer Co. will be a top team

The Boyle football program had very little success until the last fifteen years. When Chuck Smith was hired everything changed. Chuck Smith would probably tell you in his early years at Boyle when he was getting beat every year by Danville it probably pushed him harder and the assistants to try and get were Danville was. My point is Sam Harp not only elevated Danville football but football for the entire area. From a Rebel fan I still think he is a great coach and this may be the dumbest thread i have ever responded to.If you put something negative about Sam Harp on here you know very little about high school football.

I agree that they guarded Jacob Bodner much harder and they did a great job of adjusting. I just wish we would have thrown the kitchen sink at Polson. Just left feeling like we could have adjusted or tried something else and made someone else take shots. Polson controlled the whole game...............

after watching Polson again last night, hands down the best player in the 12th region. Not even a debate!

Boyle was ahead 11-3 midway in the first quarter and West Jessamine called a timeout. Polson had not scored at that point. He went on to score 40 and Boyle as a team only scored 41.We did not have any one to stop him and did not adjust much.Our double teams seemed to just cause fouls.They shot more free throws than us but they deserved most. Corey Jones had a good offensive game but it seemed everyone else was tight for Boyle and we struggled. Good luck to West and Mercer in the finals.

Congrats to the Rebels! Danville was not the same team that played against Lincoln Co. Most of it was Boyle was just more aggressive. Good luck in the regional to both teams.

Purplepride I appreciate your Rebel glasses. What I saw was a very below average Garrard team. I was very impressed with Danville in the second game tonight. We will have our hands full if they play that way Friday night. We can win the district!

Who is the coach at Garrard?

I would hardly call it a great game from Boyle, Garrards talent level was very bad this year. This was the second time I watched us play them and we simply did what we should do. We played very hard on the defensive end and they struggle handling the ball and shooting the ball. I am looking forward to the Boyle vs Danville game on Friday!
