Too much Polson. He finished with 40 points. 24 in the first half and 16 in the second half.

 

Great season for the Rebels. We played hard and we have nothing to hang our heads about. We'll be back.

Polson killed Boyle...they had no answer for him!!...Boyle want be as good next year, when u lose Corey Jones the teams best shooter, then u lose Ben Carmen the teams best all around player, then throw in Logan, Boone u lose alot..... Boyle had a great season, they won more game then people expected.

West will have to have a great game by their bigs; Polson is the team and has the ability to drive the lane when he chooses.

 

Limiting Mercer's second chance points will be key to return back to the sweet 16.

Boyle was ahead 11-3 midway in the first quarter and West Jessamine called a timeout. Polson had not scored at that point. He went on to score 40 and Boyle as a team only scored 41.We did not have any one to stop him and did not adjust much.Our double teams seemed to just cause fouls.They shot more free throws than us but they deserved most. Corey Jones had a good offensive game but it seemed everyone else was tight for Boyle and we struggled. Good luck to West and Mercer in the finals.

I still am trying to figure out how you know so much about Boyle basketball. The team's leading scorer returns and our best big man comes back AND we will be a better shooting team next year. I expect to be back in the region tourney next year. But you know so much about us, I guess you already knew that.

Yes he is. IMO, he is easily the best player in the 12th region and I have been saying that since last year. I look forward to watching him tonight.

I'll add that after Jacob Bodner came out on fire shooting and passing the ball, West refocused their defense on taking him out of the game. They gave him a lot more attention after the first quarter. Polson and the rest of the Colts hit their free throws in the second half and that was huge for them as well.

I agree that they guarded Jacob Bodner much harder and they did a great job of adjusting. I just wish we would have thrown the kitchen sink at Polson. Just left feeling like we could have adjusted or tried something else and made someone else take shots. Polson controlled the whole game...............

Oh, I get your angle now. Without telling you too much I'll tell you right now that Danville is the preseason favorite to take the 45th District Title. Just like they were this year......see you in a year.
