IMO For the Rebels to be more successful The kid that was knocking down some nice 3s has to get a little more stingy with his shots...The kid has some real nice touch...There was a fear from the Ads fans when he let if fly...Boyle moves the ball around the court good...I just feel they need to get that one kid to shot the ball more...Good luck Rebels...Good luck Ads...:thumb:

I also think we are missing what Christian Williams brought to the table last year. We don't have that threat to shoot it or penetrate it like we have had the last 2 years with Spencer Perrin and Christian Williams. I think that makes a difference also. We have shooters and inside players, but no one who can penetrate and be successful penetrating. With the offense we run, if our guards can get our big men good scoring looks, we tend to get stagnant on offense.

 

Sounds like Danville is keeping thier better players at Danville now. Good for them and congrats to the ADS.

I couldn't agree more...Coach Pippen did not have the team Chemistry and maturity to coach this program...Coach Yates has come into this program to show He can coach...The players have responded to him in a very positive way...Can you Imagine how good this team would be if Macon had of stayed?And if anyone has seen Danville play some of there best basketball:Can you imagine what this team would be like with Macon playing Strong Foward?I think they would be top 20 in the state...Now before anyone kills me on this I am very much a Homer...

When you said it, there wasn't proof in the pudding yet. Until we got Aumiller, McShara, etc. back, I don't think any assessment of Boyle was a good one. The talent is there, but we aren't bringing it night in and night out and our record shows that. When we play our best ball, we are capable of beating all of the teams in the 12th region, yes, all of them. Unfortunately, we have played our best ball less than 8 times this whole year. So yeah, I blasted you and rebelman because it was too early in the season, and until we get put out of the tournament and our season is over, I will still believe that the opportunity for me to say I told you so is still alive.:taz:

 

Whether people want to believe it or not, Ronnie Bottoms isn't walking through the door. It's time to move on, no team at Boyle County will ever play like they did when Ronnie Bottoms was there because Ronnie Bottoms isn't here anymore.

First of all, I liked Ronnie Bottoms as coach of Boyle County. I also like the present coach that we have. The one difference that Ronnie had in his few years as the coach that the present coach does not have is, a 6' 9" - 6'10" player that no team could handle in Ronnie's first year or so and there is no transfers ( that are as good as Perrin, especially Perrin, and Williams) on this year team like Ronnie had in his last two years. I'm sure Ronnie would agree that these three players made a huge impact at Boyle.

For the record, I loved Ronnie Bottoms and I couldn't wait for my son to play for him. My son looked forward to playing for Ronnie Bottoms and I have no ill will towards Ronnie. That being said, I also love Steve Adams as a coach and I look forward to the future of Boyle County basketball with Steve and his assistants at Boyle County High School.

I couldn't agree more. Brian Staed, Spencer Perrin, and Christian WIlliams made things a lot easier.
