Lincoln led after one, but trailed for most of the second and third quarter, by as many as eleveen points in the second. Heading into the fourth quarter, LC was down 45-40. Danville got their first basket with 2:55 left in the fourth quarter. LC's defense allowed them to get back in the game, and finally pull out the win. Lincoln could have made life a lot easier if they had done a better job on the boards. Congrats on winning the 45th district championship boys! I just don't think you can compare a team that hasn't made it out of district play the last two seasons, with high expectations, to a team that is the two-time defending champs. Don't really see that myself......:popcorn: Personally, I hope to see McCreary there this year, I want to see Watts play....

Danville could win it (if LC plays like they did last night, they will win), but does it really matter. This region is wide open, it really doesn't matter what side of the bracket your are on. I think beating a team twice, does mean something. Danville beat LC on a buzzer beater in, LC beat them by twenty plus and practically without Spurlin the second time. Also, you can't compare McCreary Central to Lincoln County....:confused:

I think Garrard just flat ran out of gas. It seems they were never the same team after the "ice storm". Of course, when you only play five kids, you are putting yourself in danger of this happening. Still, a great season for the Golden Lions.

Odd they are playing tonight. This gives all the coaches a chance to scout the other teams...

I did give Boyle credit, I said they fought hard all night. But neither team was real impressive, and as a Lincoln fan who has seen nearly all of their games this season, I can tell you that was one of the top three worse performances of the season, and they probably would've of lost to either Danville or Garrard playing like that. That's why it pays to get the one seed. It doesn't matter, they got the win (by double figures) and earned a spot in the region. That's all that matters. Boyle County was a huge disapointment all year. I really don't see where they were playing better, they finished the season 2-6 with wins over KSD and Pulaski County. I really thought Boyle would contend for the region this year, I never imagined the would go 0-7 in the district. That team had too many good players to struggle like that. Glasscock is a really good player, and I was impressed with the Jones kid. He should've been starting all season. I think that was another problem for BC, they never seemed to settle on a line up.:idunno:

Danville could win, but Lincoln beat them twice this season, and had the best record within th 12th. I would argue that Boyle County, who trailed the entire game, got very, very lucky to get it to overtime. Lincoln played a horrible game and escaped.:thumb:

20 wins, tied for 1st all time. The amazing part is that Taylor only had six, and Danville won.

LC didn't show up tonight, and it almost cost them. BC fought hard, and made it a battle. LC has played three clunkers this season, thankfully they won this, unlike the other two against SW and Garrard County. Boyle never led the game, and finally got it tied with less than :30 to play. LC dominated the overtime, and pulled the 3 game sweep. 7 straight overall against the Reb's, that ain't easy to do.

The play-by-play man on 101.9 is very good.

Danville did not have a field goal in the first half. Dating back to the Casey game, last Friday, the Lady Pats held their oppenents to three consecutive quarters without a field goal. That's amazing defense. They gave up 2pts in 24 minutes.

I think you could add a couple more venues to this. I don't think all the gyms in the region are adequete. Obviously, you could add a few more. Like I said the other day, it would be much better at a central location. Like the 11th does at Alumni, etc. I think it's unfair myself. But...... I like it.

You are exactly right. The loser of that game and LC could meet in the 1st round. You could potentially get 3 (Southwestern, Rock/Casey and LC) all on one side of the bracket. It's going to be really intersting.

The 12th region is really solid. Three teams have been ranked (in nearly every publication & poll) in the top 20 in the state all season.

Casey, Lincoln, and Rock. Pretty simple to me, it's one of those 3. The only other team that would have a chance, and a slim one at that, would be Southwestern.

Rumor is that Danville's top scorer will not play. I don't know how true that is, maybe and Ad fan can shed some light on it. If it is true, I think Garrard wins the game by double figures. If it isn't true, I think it will be a battle.
