I am sticking with my pre-region prediction.... West Jess. in a tight one.

I would say LC had more people, but McCreary was much louder and way more involved.

Congrats to the Raiders, big win. What a hard fought battle... Congrats to the LC team, 20-10 is a good season boys. Hated to see Spurlin not himself, but still a great season. These seniors have nothing to hang their head about, two Sweet Sixteen's and a Regional Semi-Final is a good career.

If LC let's Watt get off like he did the other night they could be in BIG trouble...

The difference is they were not supposed to win then, and no one really knew Watts yet. The win over a barely over .500 West club and a lost to Boyle County doesn't count as big games to me. I am well aware that he played there in 8th grade... The difference is now it's with pressure, then they were happy to be there were not expected to beat Boyle County. Now, most are picking them to win the region. The past two seasons, the Raiders haven't done well under pressure, failing to get back to the Region. So, IMO, this is his first real big game. Who would've thought, four years ago, that this would only be the second time they would reach the region? Couldn't of won/played too many "big games" in that stretch. He is a great player no doubt about it, and this is OBVIOUSLY the biggest game of his career.

They only lost one game in the region all year, and four of their five losses came to top 15 teams. So, to say not good at all might be a stretch. That being said, Casey is obviously the favorite tonight.

Yeah, LC held Casey without a POINT in the 4th quarter, and still came up short...

My only thought right now is, this is going to be a good won. The radio crew brought up a good point. LC had a much tougher game tonight, and came out of it beaten up. They got the win, but it was a hard fought won... Casey cruised to victory. It was a defensive battle at Lincoln two weeks ago, both teams were afraid to cut loose, IMO. Both experienced long scoring droughts. It really hard for me to get a good read on who will win, I just know it's going to be a classic. What a great season, no matter what.

With 2:32 left in the game LC's Jessica Upchurch was fouled, and took a nasty fall. She was injured (cut chin) and was tended to on the court. The game was delayed for several minutes. She was finally stitched up on the floor and sent to the locker room to change her jersey. Upchurch quickly came back out, and returned to the game. Now that's hard core... Not only did she return, but she hit a free throw to tie the game at 48-48 with 36 seconds left. Angie Lawrence then went to the line for Rockcastle and missed the front end of a 1 and 1. Kendra Brown grabbed the board and she was fouled. Brown stepped up to the line with 30 seconds left, and hit a free throw to give LC a 1 pt lead. She missed the second. Chaos then broke out, with both teams turning the ball over and wildly scrambling around. Rock finally got it back again, and was fouled. One free throw was made, tying the game again at 49-49 with 15 seconds to go. Upchurch then got the rebound and was fouled. She missed the front end of 1 and 1, but was bailed out by Henderson. Henderson got the offensive board, and she was fouled in the act of shooting. She calmly stepped up and hit 1 free throw, giving LC the lead 50-49 with 8.4 seconds to go. The free throw stood up, as the Rock missed two shots as time was expiring. What a crazy last three minutes, and a great game. Obviously this will be a big point in the game. 2:32 to go, LC just ended their scoring drought and regained the lead. This stoppage in play may slow down the Rockets. Hate to see it come at the exspense of an injury, hopefully she will be ok.

The Lady Pats need some points to get their confidence back.

I love to watch Watts. But this is the first "big game" of his career.
