I was there tonight. What a great atmosphere for a high school basketball game. McCreary Central brought a huge crowd with them and they were behind their team all the way.

 

Will the emotion of this win take some of the energy from McCreary Central? This was a hard-fought win for them and they will need to bounce back strong against West Jessamine.

They'll be fine. They've answered every question so far and beat Lincoln at their place.

Congrats to the Raiders, big win. What a hard fought battle...

 

Congrats to the LC team, 20-10 is a good season boys. Hated to see Spurlin not himself, but still a great season. These seniors have nothing to hang their head about, two Sweet Sixteen's and a Regional Semi-Final is a good career.

Best high school game I have been to in a long time. It lived up to the hype and it was a great atmosphere. This game was everything KY high school basketball is supposed to be about. I thoroughly enjoyed myself tonight.

Great game tonight. One of the most exciting basketball games that I have been to, even though Lincoln came out on the wrong end.

 

Congratulations to McCreary Central. But they still need to finish the deal.

 

I am picking West Jessamine tomorrow night, but I am rooting for the McCreary Central Raiders.

 

For Lincoln County, Great 3 year run! These seniors for Lincoln have won 87 basketball games in 4 years. I am fairly sure that is a school record for a 4 year run.

 

Lincoln finishes 20 wins and 10 losses. Congratulations to the Patriots, you have nothing to hang your heads about.

I completely and totally understand. It was one of the games where it's a shame someone has to lose.

With McCreary up 41-38, Jones went to a stall offense with nearly six minutes left. This is the same play they run two years ago against Wayne that backfired. And then, wouldn't you know it, McCreary turns it over and Lincoln his a three to tie it at 41 with under two minutes left.

 

This McCreary team seems to have the heart and desire to win these games. Destiny, maybe?

 

McCreary sure travels well. A very, very fun crowd.

I thought McCreary's coach was kicking himself for calling timeout. I remember there was 4 minutes left when McCreary got the ball and after 1 minute, a timeout, and then a turnover, there was 2:04 left. Duke used to go to the stall offense all of the time about 3-4 years ago and all it did was let the other team back in the game. I have always liked attacking the basket regardless of the score when there is more than 1 minute on the clock.
