  1. I totally disagree with you on Holmes during anything next season except what they shown here. This team lacks good coaching and strong disciplinary actions, for their individual play and selfishness. It destorys this team each and every year. Yes, every once in a while, they MAY find an acorn and win the regional, but every once. Untill they recruit a coach who is not going to put up with those attitudes, Holmes may as well not even have a boys basketball team. Plenty of athletes, LARGER ATTITUDES PROBLEMS. Holmes should post a sign Boys basketball tryouts........ABSOULTELY NO ATTITUDES WILL BE TOLERATED PERIOD.....NOT EVEN YOURS....STAR PLAYER. I would not have the job for 85,000 dollars ,but for one good old fashion butt whippin, I would do it for free. Fire away LABS,I know I touched a sore spot. Go Hard.
  2. A very good example of this advantage is a NKY ace pitcher this season. He is a month older than my son who finished high school last season. Age does has it's advantage, let there be no doubt.
  3. I am totally shocked that you feel such away. Your convining auguments convince me that the courts should stay out of involvements in high school sports and now you say this. Makeup your mind and stand by your principles.
  4. Thank you. A familar voice of reason.:thumb:
  5. I think the rule is good and should not be changed. Just imagine Mike Mitchell graduating at 19 verus 17 inwhich he did. You talk about making some noise.
  6. Bob Schneider's Comments on the Compromise -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But given a choice between holding separate championships, or making it tougher for kids to flit from school to school, the thirst for competition won out. As Newport Central Catholic football coach Bob Schneider said when asked whether he could accept the two-year clause: "I can live with it because I don't want to be sitting outside the playoffs." Priceless. You're so correct Bob.
  7. I have two sons that are very prepared for the real world and that came from being a parent. Don't tell me about morals and respect of the man that picks and chooses which kids to treat fairly and which ones not to. A very good basketball player who attended NCC once told a few people, myself included how badly he was treated by Schneider. I don't believe that a popular player, who set school records at NCC would have lied about his treatment. He could not wait to get away from Schneider. Reminds me of the morals of why the golf outings were cancelled at CCH that he attended yearly.
  8. Believe me, I am not a NCC faithful. I do however, know that NCC has always had very talent young men attending school there. As far as ole Bob goes 1 state every 10 or 12 years, I think he has coached his last. What's that old saying ....''even a blind squirrel can find an acorn in a acorn patch" Well guess what, one was found.
  9. Last year's Highlands D holding Boyle County and Cov. Cath to 7 points in 4 games says it all. There is no way LC offense this year would scores 14 pts on Highlands defense of last season.

  13. EXACTLY, no more needs to be said. :thumb:
  14. Congrats to LC on a HUGE WIN. I know, this is not the results that I had hope for,and I KNOW you gave your all and left it all on the field. You guys have a young team and played your hearts out. Remember the tears on the faces of the seniors and the sadness in the locker room last night. I know that Dale will have you ready to take the next steps to winning another state title starting Monday. To the seniors I thank you for your leadership and dedication. I know you all will be successful in whatever life holds next for you and thank you. You achieve more than many thought you would this season.Go Birds win state in 2006. :thumb:

  16. Good win for the Birds, continue your hard work. :thumb:
  17. Why not, this is the KHSAA isn't it. They can jump back and forth as good as anything you have ever witness.
  18. One very good point, that I believe is not being reviewed. :thumb:
  19. As an outsider I thought I could speak openly on this question, and we still reside in Fort Thomas, just not born and raised. No. This year team is not as senior dominated and that's the biggest difference. Regarding how hard they (the Birds) work. I have been around 4 DIFFERENT programs in NKY over the past 15 years and I have yet to see one that works as hard as Highlands not saying that their isn't, but none, absolutely none I have been around and that not blowing smoke or making any digs at any team. That a pure fact.
