Did it look to you as Ironton was on the end of some bad calls playing on the road against an out of state school?

Are you kidding? He inherits one of the most talented younger rosters in all of MLB, and he knows how much Cincinnati loves baseball and their Reds. I am beyond ecstatic. Honestly, this about how I expected this game to go. Ashland just has too many weapons for Greenup County. Ashland put a running clock on the Musketeers with about 6:56 to go in the 3rd quarter. I’ll be interested to see how Greenup fares next week against Boyd County.

Greenup County getting any votes?

Ashland won this game 61-7 I believe last year. I really don’t see that much difference from last year’s teams from either school. I don’t think the score will be nearly has lopsided this year, but I still see the Tomcats winning rather easily. Ashland 35 Greenup County 13

Seriously, name a better place in Kentucky to watch a high school football game. I know I’m obviously biased, but my goodness this is a beautiful venue.

Ashland just had too many weapons and playmakers for Russell. I would like to know from the Russell fans how they think Greenup County will stack up against Ashland at home next weekend.

According to ESPN Analytics: Kentucky had a 34% chance to win if they went for the 4th down. Kentucky had a 12% chance to win if they punted. It was a stupid decision. And what was with redoing the kickoff after the push in the back call against Georgia just to move the ball from the 26 to the 25? That was a waste of time for one yard. He just doesn’t think at times.

Punting the ball back to Georgia on 4th and 8 in Georgia territory with around 3 minutes to go was just another boneheaded decision by Stoops. I honestly question the man’s intelligence at times. That was their best chance to win the game and he just makes another terrible decision.

I honestly thought this game would be a lot closer. Bardstown scored on the last play of the game, and they had some moments where they moved the ball on Ashland, but just couldn’t finish other than the two long scoring plays. I do feel Bardstown got a terrible spot on one 4th and 1 play in the 3rd quarter. Ashland’s Oline looked a little better tonight, but still not sure they can run the ball and give Strader time in the pocket against your better teams. I guess only time will answer that question.

Greenup continues to win and win big. Can they take down the Tomcats in a couple of weeks?

I’ve never seen a local team with as much team speed as this Ashland team. It’s very impressive the amount of skilled players they have.
