I had heard Coach Howard was taking the Christmas break to think about it. New indoor and turf field good weight room and auxiliary gyms make this very attractive job I would say.

Yes sorry, Allen will be at home. Franklin being away this past year was Glasgow surrendering home field not trading years. 4 home games 6 away games.

Could it be that the 3 that were interviewed were interviewing at multiple spots and different schools and decided to go different places or stay where they are after the situation not being sweet enough to go for the not so appealing situation at hand.

If you’re relying on freshman you aren’t very good. Very rarely is that circumstance any different.

If we had a blank slate.. what would the best setup for 225 football programs 20ish private schools? Factors of isolation and EXTREME poverty especially in eastern and western ky… 3 metro areas. And many other factors, traditional powers in various classes, pointless week 1 playoff games. Impossible to really nail down I think. Sometimes I think the more we do the more we leave ourselves open to scrutiny.

I added the KDE public spreadsheet... almost every high school that is public is on this as school wide qualifying. I got down the the Bullitt County schools and the only high school I saw not private and under 75% free and reduced was Bullitt East at about 30% I'm not sure if we can apply a multiplier to everyone and it mean anything. 2024-2025FinalQualifyingData.xlsx

While experience must be replaced in several key areas, Glasgow returns proven leaders, impact underclassmen, and a schedule that will test and define them. ? Graduating Seniors (14) Jerrick Martin (Missouri State signee) Trace Smith, Cameron Bulle, Hudson Gumm, Grayson Bartley, Landon Martin, Jeremiah Moore, Steven Garrett, Peyton Lemily, Ashton Page, Xander Contreras, Javion Twyman, Keavian Massey, Jared Malagon That group leaves behind a strong legacy, particularly on the defensive side of the ball and in leadership within the program. ? Key Returners & Outlook Offensively, much of Glasgow’s optimism centers around what will be known as “The Triplets” — Jaylan Bradley, Landon Holley, and Jordan Huffman . All three will be seniors and are expected to be major contributors and leaders. Their experience, versatility, and familiarity with the program give the Scotties a strong foundation heading into the season. The junior class is loaded with upside and could ultimately determine how high the ceiling is in 2026. WR/DB Kaebran Jones and WR/DB Keyshawn Austin are both poised to grow significantly in expanded roles and give Glasgow speed and athleticism on the perimeter. Jaithan Franklin (RB/LB/DL) brings physicality and toughness on both sides of the ball and should see increased responsibility. The silent factor to watch is the experience of the offensive line, with many of the linemen who saw quality playing time last year returning. A major addition comes in Junior Bowling Green transfer Kyle Sledge (S/LB), a physical presence who fits Glasgow’s defensive identity well and is expected to make an immediate impact. Looking ahead, sophomore Trevis Collor is another young name to watch as he works his way onto the field and gains valuable varsity experience. ❓ Biggest Question The defense will be the biggest storyline entering the 2026 season. With significant graduation losses, new leaders must emerge quickly, and consistency will be critical early in the year. How fast this unit comes together could be the deciding factor between a good season and a special one. ?️ 2026 Schedule (Assuming all games complete the full cycle) vs Southwestern at Barren County at Monroe County at Allen County–Scottsville vs Adair County at Hart County vs Butler County Bye Week at LaRue County at Edmonson County at Franklin-Simpson Despite graduating a large senior class, the 2026 Glasgow Scotties are far from rebuilding. With an experienced senior core, talented juniors ready to step forward, and impact additions in key spots, Glasgow enters the season with high hopes and belief that the standard remains the same. They got ousted in the second round this past year, but are working hard already, coming in every morning before school and getting extra work in. They have plans for a deep playoff run this year coming. Unfortunately only 3 home games will be very detrimental for the season as a whole. They are wishing for some home playoff games.

If it's like this beginning the 2nd round...why not seed the whole thing? Top 16 in East/West. I like Massey ratings a lot better....my favorite is still TP94's.

Unsure of the actual enrollment numbers. I know classification is based on number of male students in the district. I'm assuming since they are a Magnet school they may be able to turn away boys unless they feel like they can contribute to the success of the school in some way.

Two years away, but a thought I had on the new two year scheduling cycle... CAL is a monster for sure, but if they are chasing the all time winning streak... do they schedule T or X? I'm not implying the would schedule easier for the record and their monstrous schedule they have as it is more than impressive. I guess I am asking they believe Iron sharpens Iron above all or do they subconsciously not schedule that one more super bowl like game?

Their schedule looks brutal this year also... district with PT, Logan, and FS don't do them many favors. FS has been competitive as of late.

Are all the warren county schools on the same pay scale for coaches or is that school by school?

Which Job in BG is more attractive, WC or WE? I know historically WC has a better tradition, especially before South Warren. To me, both seem at low points and both in tough districts.

After further evaluation... the superintendent of Russellville Independent KY is Kyle Estes... not Tim Guinn, Tim Guinn is the super at Russellville independent, AL. Small, but still bad mistake by BG Daily Times, but message still rings the same.
