I can tell you, I know a lot of the players and Coaches and have talked to some this week that they aren't looking past this game and know it will be a tough, hard fought game. I have heard nothing but respect for Ashland. I don't think Ashland has got the recognition they deserve this year.

I hate to look at these first round Senior kids after games against really tough teams that had to travel to another school to get the snot beat out of them for their last game. it breaks my heart I've seen some walk zig zags to the locker room to get an extra couple minutes on the field.

I always hate questionable ending to games but I had warned some Scott Co. folks this week after watching LC play at Corbin that the LC team doesn't have any quit in them and they will hammer for 4 quarters. I was impressed with how much fight they had in them earlier this year.

I think this game may be dependent on how health Quisenberry is for the game. I have heard he has a ankle injury that has led to limited use in the last couple games and a notable limp. FD has the horses on defense to make it a really good game. it will depend on how personal this game is to FD in my opinion.

He has already played against the pressure of North Hardin and FD that both had some big D1 talent on the defensive side of the ball this season with FD having one of the best edge rushers in the nation with Cedric Works. so I expect him to be prepared for the pressure. Corbin's line this year is smaller than past several years but they are very conditioned. but JC is always tough, they make you earn it every play.

I watched this game in person and you could tell when Cam Estep went out early and Eli Pietrowski that spirits fell considerably by the Hounds knowing they needed them to be competitive against such a good team as Frederick Douglass. the FD defense was awesome. Congratulations to FD on the win and hospitality. I seen bunch of class moves by the FD program that didn't go unnoticed by the Corbin faithful. we will be cheering yall on for the remainder of the season!

I had a veteran Coach tell one time recently after I brought up the ref shortages of what would be the quickest solution and he mentioned something I though was interesting. he said for Middle and JV type games he thought you should have one main ref paid to come in and then a coach for each team should be trained to ref games and so each team would supply a ref a piece and he thought that for most places that would work because the coaches would go a little harder on their own team to show neutrality and it would hopefully keep the calls in the middle. I though it was a interesting idea. but I could see if a program put a low integrity person in that person that it wouldn't work and cause issue.

I agree with a lot of what has been said above. I think QB play is key. I have noticed in tight games Elam gets aggravated with it and goes to another level. I think Pulaski shows up strong at first until Elam gets aggravated and then he kicks into a methodical scoring drives for rest of game and if you try to stop the WR play he will just drop and shoulder and drive his way into the endzone. but I wonder if this game gets played because of shooter. I think it is either canceled or moved to Pulaski. Corbin has been out of school all week. the shooter actual vandalized Campbell Field with spray paint around 8 years ago from what I seen online.
