Whats crazy is that it was this young man's first game pitching since last May due to Tommy John surgery.

Kyle Flynn earns the W for Dixie , pitching 7 innings with just 4 hits. Branton Stiles took the Loss, pitching 4 innings with Arrasmith in relief. Beechwood (2-2) heads to Connor on Friday and Dixie (2-2) heads down to EKU to take on Lexington Christian and East Jessamine. Strong win for the red Colonels!

Jackson Reardon has been noticeably out the first two CCH games. I have no info about if he’s hurt or not.

Cov Cath might have been looking for a statement win after their 9th Region loss to Ryle last year. A trio of Colonel pitchers showed out with Wermuth getting the start. They held the Raiders to just 2 hits (Bates & Oli Morris w a HR). Yuskewich (Hanover) with a HR and a ton of offense by the Colonels. CCH has Walton Verona next and Ryle faces a tough Beechwood team.

I’m just shocked some would see it a negative if parents are making a kid work a job or if they need to work a job for their circumstances. Absolutely crazy to me. when my son interviewed with colleges he was asked about HS jobs and talked about that and the impact on being a student for way more time than the minuscule time they asked about being a student athlete (and I obviously love hs sports)

Ryle survives a scare after being down 6-3 going into the 7th. Ugly outing for the Union guys. Great effort by the young Crusaders tonight. Scrappy team. Ryle heads to CCH tomorrow night St Henry plays Conner.

Northern Kentucky Baseball Coaches Association released their pre-season poll. What does everyone think? I think Beechwood looks loaded and I look for Fryman (Louisville Commit) , Flaherty & Cottingim to anchor this team. No doubt, Ryle's McIntire (San Jac CC Commit) and CCH's Reardon (Cincy Commit) will lead their teams this season.

I love that its scheduled during the Moeller game tonight as a lot of these GCYL teams they beat are Moeller feeder schools and these 8th grade boys played some great football on Moeller's field this Fall. Can't wait till Fall!

I thought they moved to Elders Delhi West side last year? To be OHIO eligible. Not sure where they landed now.

Hands down best Friday Night Lights to be at. Crazy atmosphere, cannot wait to be the Colonels there this year and I’ll probably catch the Birds there too. It’s absolutely electric!

Totally agree. I really would doubt Danneman would make such a claim to not do it without Rutsatz there. Top tier profession, has a son on the JV team and an incoming Freshman, he's an alum himself. Seems crazy. I do think Nick is being way over the top with the FB posts, but he's an adult and lives out of town so not sure if Scott can really control any of his anger.

Junior, Cash Harney, joined the 1,000 point club after CCH's win vs. Holmes last night. Congrats! Looking for a whole lot more over the next year and a half! Let's Go!

I cannot wait to see Fryman. This Spring on the ballfield then this Fall. And I agree, if he wants QB, I think its his job to lose.

How is their size compared to Brody? I've heard they're almost the same height but not as thick? Some time in the weight room will remedy that if that's the case.

Cov Cath's Alek Yuskewich has commited to play at Hanover College. He joins CCH Alums Jacob Danneman and Bradley Zekl. Hanover has an excellent baseball team that made it to the D3 NCAA Tourney last year. Nice job young man!

CCH’s Kam Butler (‘18) declares for the NFL Draft. Kam is a 7 year grad student if I have that correct? Played for Miami Ohio 4years then transferred to Virginia. Congrats and hope to be watching another Colonel on Sundays next year!
