Whatever happened to Darren Horns son at Cov Cath?

One of my Louisville buddies checked out the end of Trinity workouts one day this week and hung around for a bit of Coach Cobb’s youth camp directly after. His comments: Hepner and DeSensi battling for the #1 QB spot, both look good. Lots of weapons in Lynn, rising soph Motchell, Castelluzzo, Sansbury, Sasser, a couple of smaller younger guys that looked dynamite quick, good route runners, good hands. Defense has a ton of spirit and looks the part. A number of incoming Trinity freshman at the youth camp…….and they pass the look test.

Can someone confirm/deny my understanding of the KHSAA rules here. In June, before DP, only 7 on 7 internal to your own team (inter squad). In July, after DP, 7 on 7 allowed vs other schools. Correct???

What happened to D Wheat at Valley? How long has he been gone?

Congrats. A very fine player indeed. Really understands “how to play”. Glad to see him remain at one high school- old fashioned style.

What? How? This is a real shocker. Does X have guys hurt or sick? I know Collins drilled them last week.

Bingo. 5-10 other schools in the state have had “plenty of talent” the last 20 years. Same resume??? And, the 2012 Trinity team led the state in team defense, won many games by 25 + points (look it up) and set a Sweet 16 record for 3 point shooting in Rupp Arena.

I’d say Szabo does ok with the “talent”…..20 years = 2 state titles, 6 region titles, 6 LIT championships and 2 KOB championships. But maybe there are 5 or 10 other high school coaches in Kentucky that can top that resume?

Does NL have their top 5 back and healthy?

Depends on the match up of schools. This year I have experienced huge crowds, high energy student sections, pep bands and cheerleaders all in “full go”. I have also experienced half empty gyms with a game going on and not much else.

I would love to see this group fully together for at least 3 weeks of games before they begin region tourney play and hopefully a trip to Rupp.

When/ if will they all get back together?

Has NL had all 5 starters healthy for any lengthy stretch so far this season?

Will the real Madison Central please stand up? Very interesting team to follow.

The two brothers for DeSales are a problem. They can play.

Really……… Mustangs by a whole bunch. These two teams at different levels.

Colonels have a chance to close out a good tourney with an impressive win.

Lyon County is a blast to watch.

Tigers have been handled fairly easily a few times this year. They seem very inconsistent.

Quite a few top ranked Kentucky school teams entered- GRC, Lyon County, Male, Great Crossing, Woodford Co., Trinity, North Oldham and Manual. How do you see it?

I imagine no offense series lasted more than 3 or 4 plays. There must have been enough “chunk plays” in this one game to last for a while.
