Well, both teams do allow just 49 points per game.

Maybe you should watch the NBA.LOL

Perhaps Hoopstars is just baffled as to why teams with elite athletes want to minimize possessions by playing ball control basketball, instead of pushing the tempo to create more possessions for their elite athletes to out-elite athlete their opposition.

In my opinion these two teams on paper have pretty equal talent.  I believe the score states the same thing.

My comment also had to do with style of play.  More possessions  = more of a chance to create margin of victory.  Less possessions, more chance of a close game.

The equivalent nba game would be 75-70. Does that happen often?  Lol.

The score would state the talent is bad. Which we all know it’s not.  Averaging 11-12 points a quarter per team. That’s 5 baskets per team per quarter  tops accounting for FT or 3s.  Nice work coaches!  Control control control. Limit limit limit. Everyone comes to watch the coaches. Not the players.

In the Tourney you are often playing a team with near same talent. If the goal is to win State titles, playing to your strengths is the way to go.

Also if you have elite athletes, defense is much easier.

Too each their own.

Trinity was 14 of 38 from the field and 14 of 23 from the line. Collins has yet to post stats.

I’d say Szabo does ok with the “talent”…..20 years = 2 state titles, 6 region titles, 6 LIT championships and 2 KOB championships. But maybe there are 5 or 10 other high school coaches in Kentucky that can top that resume?

I would say it’s more like a 90 point game in the NBA, which happens every now and then.
